The removed our old insulation, sealed the attic and added new fiberglass insulation, explained each and every step and went great lengths to do rodent proofing. And all it took was few hours. I feel very fortunate to have found Ideal Attic Insulation to work on the attic and crawlspace of our newly purchased home. From the start, Jorge came to provide a free inspection, and he was extremely professional and thorough. He personally went into the attic and crawled into the crawlspace to check every detail. After his inspection, he gave us a very fair estimate with a clearly written and complete scope of work. We also requested quotes from other companies, but it became clear that Ideal Attic Insulation—and especially Jorge—was the most professional, responsible, and knowledgeable. Jorge is the best. My wife and I had contacted 4 companies, and by far Ideal Attic Insulation was the winner. With us it wasn't all about price, but quality, knowledge of the trade and experience. We had our old insulation removed when we replaced our roof. Yes, like lot of us when your roof is compromised you have issues with rodents. Once our roof was completed, we set our appointment with Jorge. He came out the following afternoon, and boy was it hot. He inspected our entire attic and came up with a game plan to vacuum and sanitizing our entire attic space. He took a lot of pictures and shared areas of concern with us. We had the roofer's comeback out and tighten up area that may have been able to be compromised. once these areas were tightened up Jorge sent out his crew to install mess wire and stray foam around vent pipes, etc. Jorges recommended we wait a few weeks to install the insulation to see if there were any signs of rodents. After a few weeks and weekly inspections by Jorge and his crew, there were no signs of pests. They installed the insulation, and we could not be happier. We highly recommend Ideal Attic Insulation. Amazing Company

Damian and his crew installed R-19 insulation under our house. They were quick and easy to work with. And even provided a couple of photos.

The guys did a fantastic job removing all the old loose-fill insulation from my ~120 year old craftsman, including a big pile of old wood slats and other refuse from prior roofing jobs, and replaced it all with new blown-in insulation. They took care to put down plastic and tape before they started and cleaned up everything when it was all done. The house is noticeably more comfortable, and it was all for a very reasonable price. I should have done it years ago.

I just purchased my new home and noticed some rooms warmer/colder than others. Damian came and inspected our house. He pointed out the issues in our attic and provided his recommendation and a few options. We chose to remove the old insulation, and replace it with new. The two workers Abad and his helper were punctual, kind, and very respectful of our newly renovated home. I also really appreciated Damian’s follow up call. Greenshield deserves 5 stars. 1. They are very flexible to work with. 2. Sounds professional throughout the project. 3. Keep up to their promise. 4. Workmanship is excellent: I replace my attic insulation and air duct system to help me with my allergy problem (I remove insulation, next install new HVAC system, finally install insulation. I have abestos removal, so this is the best sequence for me.) - They clean very well. Using negative pressure vacuum, they suck and remove all the junk, blown in, batt and left nothing behind. I personally went up to inspect their cleaning after they were done. (I pay extra attention to the cleaning process because I don’t like the musty smell of an old house. I have allergy, so air quality is important to me. They also sprayed to disinfect the attic.) - Installation is very good. They put back brand new thick R38 insulation beautifully. They reach even the furthest corner. Every part of the attic is covered. 5. They stand behind their work. I am glad to deal with Greenshield. I have no headache or hiccup in the entire process. As a regular home owner, I have zero knowledge prior to this. 6. They have rebates, so at the end their price is competitive. They do all the rebate for me. I shop at many other places and finally decided to go with Greenshield. My recommendation just go through Greenshield in the first place and save your time. They give you the price upfront and no need for negotiation like other contractors/company.) Due to the rebate, there will be an inspector from CA Energy Program coming to inspect to make sure it is done correctly and up to code. ( I have a piece of mind knowing their work has QA from a government agency.) 8. Usually old house has aging sheetrock and especially in bathroom due to moistures build up over time. It is very easy to crack/break sheetrock and to be fallen off from the ceiling. You don’t want to hire a handyman or no name contractor doing this job. Finally, the biggest win here is you don’t have headache dealing with contractors, and you know you can trust them to install insulation with good workmanship and use quality material. P/S: Greenshield did all the rebate application for me. Inspector came 3 days they finished the job. My rebate was approved within a week after the insulation. I was surprised how quick and easy the rebate process was.

I'm pretty happy with the insulation work. The room above my garage had cold floors so Greenshield punched holes on the garage ceiling drywall, blew in several bags full, and patched up the holes and cleaned up everything afterwards. They showed up on time, did very clean work, was very professional and most importantly the outcome was great. The room floor is no longer cold and the house is better insulated than before. The price was very competitive and they knew exactly what to do. Highly recommended.

I had Greenshield do R-44 blown-in insulation on my attic after getting a heat-pump HVAC installed (by a different contractor). It takes a couple of hours and they have several people working on a single house at one time. All of them, especially Ahmad and Dave were very professional. They prep your place and clean up after also. They have the process down pat and it seems like they've been doing this for a long time. This appears to be confirmed by their years in service in the bay area. They are also in contact with BayREN which provides Bay area rebates for green improvements to your home. R44 is the minimum required to qualify for the BayREN incentive. They handle the inspection and submitting of this rebate and all you have to do is wait for your check back. The price is reasonable and the work is definitely high quality. Because we have a newly installed heat pump with a smart thermostat we can quantitatively say that the R-44 blown in insulation makes a measurable difference into how much our heating system is running. I'm looking forward to seeing if there are improvements for the AC during summer as well. The insulation is definitely worth it for saving a few extra kwh if you have a heat pump. I assume a similar effect will be observed if you are using natural gas. If you are considering some energy efficiency improvements to your house (esp. considering the absolute massacre that PG&E is putting us through), attic insulation is one of the best bang for your buck projects you can do. It's also the most minimally disrupting. Plan for a couple of hours and have space available for them to move around and you should be good. Ahmad is very knowledgeable and very accommodating to any requests you might have. I recommend at least calling him to gain some of his perspectives in your next home improvement project. I added a photo of one area that they added insulation in. The white rectangles are how they measure the height of the blown in insulation. I confirm that at the minimum they reach the required level and in some areas exceed the thickness they promised. They also use spray insulation in some other gaps in our attic.

I worked with this insulation contractor in Los Gatos to get attic insulation installed. The crew came out and blew in the insulation, piling it up really high so it looked like the whole attic was covered. Todd, the installer, even mentioned adding a little extra for me. After a while, I had my roof replaced, and the roofers asked me to take a look at some areas. We discovered that one whole half of my house had almost no insulation—just some old paper from when the house was first built. It was surprising to find that out, but when I reached out to the company, Jay gave me a call the very next day. He checked on my original job and wanted to make sure i was happy. Jay and his team, including Eduardo, came back out to my house. Since i had replaced the duct work since the original install, Jay explained that the old duct work had blocked access to some parts of the attic, which is why the insulation hadn’t reached those spots before. This time, they made sure every part of my attic got insulated properly. Eduardo and the team were really friendly and worked quickly. I’m honestly impressed by how far they went to fix things, even after all that time had passed. i’m a really satisfied customer and would recommend this company to anyone in Los Gatos looking for attic or home insulation services. We had a mice issue in the basement + a few areas inside the house, and Attic Bros did a fantastic job cleaning up, blocking entrances, installing new insulation, and also fixing a damaged air duct. The team was certainly professional, and the price was reasonable for the quality.

Initial Review (and hopefully only review). I've evaluated four attic companies and ultimately selected Attic Bros. Here are my thoughts: Excellent service throughout the process. Ori did a great job addressing my concerns and gave a fair estimate for the project. He also did not upsell me on services that I didn't need. Note: Attic Bros aren't the cheapest service but they are also not the most expensive. Vic (project manager) did a phenomenal job in managing things and letting me know about the condition of my attic. His team did a thorough job pest proofing things and properly laid down R-38 batts.

We went with Remove, Seal, Sanitize old insulation in effort to identify if there was a Termite swarm. We figured we’d need one day for termite inspection and a separate day for a termite treatment. The day after Attic Pros we had Bongiorno termite inspection come out and he went into the attic and there was no swarm identifiable all clean. Attic Pros did the complete removal and everything was visible and clean. It was cold at night and we didn’t wanna wait for our pre-scheduled couple of days out so I contacted Attic Pros and they came out the next day. Three guys installedR38. Bats without paper backer minimizing mold- they did an excellent job. All of our light was sealed. The hatch got new layer of bubble wrap insulation. The Attic vents had chutes installed allowing fresh air interchange. Can feel the difference- absolutely a warmer house. Thank you Attic Pros. Also Attic Prod had low cost to many other HVAC companies that just farm it out to subcontractors. Highly recommend Attic Pros.

I was able to self schedule an appointment within 2 days. Rabi was very professional and clearly communicated both the issue and the plan for resolution. They were able to complete the work within a few days. Their price was competitive. The team arrived between 10 am and worked all day to clean my attic, close all access points, and install the new insulation. They worked all day until 6 pm. They were very pleasant, answered my questions, explained things well. The process was pretty quiet so I was able to work at my remote job while they worked. They left everything clean in the crawlspace and took all garbage with them. I did not enjoy having creatures in the attic but they made the process of getting rid of them as pleasant as possible.

They removed the installation and replaced it with new. They sealed areas where the rats could have entered. They set traps and so far no sign of rats. They left my house clean. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have their attic cleaned up and re-insulated. We were dealing with HVAC running constantly and still unable to cool down the house effectively. Oumar visited for an initial inspection and came back with a bunch of photos from the attic. He walked us through all the various options we could benefit from, and left us with a competitive quote, without ever being pushy. On the day of service, Dani and his team were extremely professional in their job. They took care of a bunch of rodent mess in the attic and sealed a lot of rodent entry points. Tri county did wall insulation a few years ago, which made my home warmer in the winter. The wall also patched well after the blow in, even though it is outside wall. The price was the most reasonable one. One bonus I got is the worker patched the hole in attic for the rodent not to enter. I recommend this company for pricing, quality of job and service.
