About FoamMatch

FoamMatch is a directory of spray foam insulation contractors across the United States. We built it because finding a good spray foam installer is harder than it should be: search results are crowded with lead-selling websites that look like local companies, and it's hard to tell who actually does the work. Our goal is simple: a list of real, local spray foam contractors you can call directly.

How contractors get listed

We start from public business information, such as Google business listings, and contractors can also add their own business through our sign-up page. Listing is free. A contractor who finds their business already listed can claim it, and we confirm the claim before anything changes.

How we check each listing

Before a contractor stays on FoamMatch, we review the business. We look at:

  • Whether they actually install spray foam, based on their own website, their work, and their customers' reviews.
  • Whether the business is still open, and whether its phone number and website work.
  • Whether it's a real local company and not a lead-selling site. Warning signs include a website built around a city name instead of a business, a phone number or address from another state, and the same website reused for many towns.
  • Basic details: how long they've been in business, the cities they serve, their hours, and any license number.

When a business doesn't pass, we take it off the directory. When we're unsure and can't find proof that a company does spray foam work, we leave it off. We would rather list fewer contractors than send you to the wrong one.

What the labels on a listing mean

  • Verified license: shown only when we confirmed the license number with a state licensing board. A license we couldn't confirm is shown plainly, never as verified. Some states don't license insulation contractors at all.
  • Ratings and reviews: come from the contractor's Google reviews.
  • Featured: a paid listing. Featured contractors appear first on their city pages and are always labeled. Paying never changes our checks.

Our guides

We also publish plain-English spray foam guides on cost, thickness, open cell vs. closed cell, and how to choose a contractor, with sources listed on each one.
