Julien has come out and spent a LOT of time in the attic taking measurements. He is nice to deal with, and I am awaiting the installation of spray foam insulation in the attic.

Karen with iFOAM has been extremely helpful and courteous from day 1. We had to push our project back several times from June to November and each time, everyone was understanding and professional. The crew was extremely efficient as well as professional. Thank you also to James Bishop for being flexible. I will recommend iFOAM to anyone looking for spray foam insulation for their project. Thank you from Bill and Elizabeth Fouts with K9 Kind Resort for helping us get our facility looking great and well insulated from the elements.

Joey, the salesman, was fantastic, and Santiago, the technician, was amazing. I made a last-minute decision to do spray foam insulation in my shop and office, but it had to be done early the next week. At 5:00 pm on a Friday, I called two companies to get estimates. I had to leave a voicemail for the first company, but the iFoam team answered the phone and Joey was at our place Monday for an estimate. He was transparent about everything, including pricing, and had an estimate for me the same day. Because I was pleased with the estimate, and the other company couldn’t get to my place for an estimate until Wednesday, I made the decision to go with iFoam. Miraculously, Joey pulled some strings and they got me on the schedule the next day! Santiago showed up in the early afternoon, alone, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was prepped and protected. He stayed until after 8:00 pm to get everything foamed and returned with his helper first thing Wednesday to shave everything down, so we could hang sheetrock the same day! I’m so grateful for iFoam’s sense of urgency and focus on quality, I recommended them to the general contractor doing all of the work on our house renovation.

They crew was clean and organized, very efficient and cleaned up the job-site nicely when they were done! Definitely got the foam we paid for + some! This company responded very quickly to my inquiry about getting foam insulation for my home. They were very efficient in getting us an estimate and scheduling the work, worked hard to get the old materials out and reconnected some duct work while they were at it! Larry made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. Definitely recommend J R Insulation.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Tioga

These are the questions Tioga homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 27% typical energy savings. Compare the 2 verified Tioga contractors above for exact quotes.

Does spray foam insulation work well in hot dry climates like Tioga?▼
Yes — spray foam is highly effective in hot dry climates like Tioga, TX. While moisture control is less of a concern than in humid climates, the air sealing properties are critical for keeping hot desert air out and cooled air in. In extreme heat climates, an unsealed attic can reach 150°F+, dramatically increasing AC load. Spray foam in the attic can reduce attic temperatures by 30–40°F.
What is the best area of my home to insulate in Tioga?▼
In hot dry climates like Tioga, TX, the attic is typically the highest-impact area to spray foam insulate. Desert sun heats roofs to extreme temperatures, and an uninsulated attic transfers that heat directly into your living space. After the attic, crawl spaces and rim joists are the next highest-impact areas. A local contractor can perform an energy audit to identify where your home loses the most conditioned air.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?▼
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Tioga, TX?▼
In Tioga, TX and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Tioga costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Tioga homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?▼
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?▼
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Tioga, TX?▼
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Tioga, TX, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Tioga contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Tioga for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?▼
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?▼
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
