We just finished a whole house remodel of our 3,000 sf home in Gilbert. Our house was an energy hog, so we contacted Brazos Urethane. They recommended spray foam and their prices were competitive. We moved forward with the spray foam and couldn’t be happier! Our house no longer has hot spots, and our a/c is much happier not working so hard! Best of all, were saving 20% on our electric bill! Highly recommend theses guys.

Had a terrific experience with Koala Insulation of East Valley. Bill, one of the owners did a thorough inspection and took the time to discuss it, never pressing me or overselling. The price was reasonable and also took advantage of the tax credits. They are an SRP partner too so received a credit from SRP for the install as well. The installation crew was terrific. They arrived on time, showed me photos of the insulation install after complete and cleaned up after so that I couldn’t even tell they were here. Also want to give huge kudos to Michael, the roof expert on their team. He installed a solar (30w) attic fan and I was able to watch from the ground as he installed it. He did a precise job of cutting the tiles and installing the flashing, and also showed me video of the fan operating. The goal was to reduce the heat in my attic so my air conditioner doesn't have to work so hard and I’m confident this is going to happen. The solar powered fan is so quiet that I couldn’t even tell from ground level that it was working, but the video confirmed it. I highly recommend this firm. Honest, good price, delivered what they promised and pleasant to deal with. A+

TLDR: High Quality, Professional, Excellent Value. Highly recommend. I called Koala for a quote to add insulation in my attic due to high AC bills. Bill Villani came out and did a thorough inspection and evaluation of my home, existing insulation levels, asked about hotspots in the house and even asked how long I intended to stay in my home. He recommended several options, including sealing of ducts and ventilation options as well as handling the SRP rebates. I ended up going with Koala because of this superb experience, competitive rates, and highly skilled and professional demeanor. I had other quotes but their attitude was more of a “we’ll blow in insulation”. Ryan Villani, Mike Brouse, the Operation Lead, and another tech (didn’t get his name) were all excellent to work with. They came out on the day of install and were fast, efficient, professional and qualified. They completed duct sealing, O’Hagin vent installation, and blown-in fiber glass to R-49 rated standards - all in under three hour from start to finish. They even fixed a missing dryer vent cover missing from my roof - at no charge!! This is the kind of extra care that differentiates them from other companies. I would HIGHLY recommend Koala insulation. If you’re on the fence about which Arizona insulation company to go with, just stop searching and go with them. You won’t be disappointed.

Koala insulation completed our home attic insulation upgrade recently and we are extremely satisfied with the price and quality of work. We were able to take advantage of two SRP energy efficiency rebates which reduced our cost significantly. The real test will be a comparison of last years summer cooling bills with this summers upcoming bills but we are confident we will see improvement. Work was completed quickly and post work cleanup was done e nicely. Before and after photos included.

Best insulation company hands down! They were easy to work with, they worked with us on some special requests. Really great experience for me as a homeowner to deal with. Received great advice from Monte who came over, inspected and listened to my needs. I found the bid to be fair and had the work completed by a excellent installer. I would use them again!

I’ve had to use this company twice for warranty work through my home builder. This company is atrocious to deal with! Marshalls, if you’re reading this I’m sure you don’t know what atrocious means… it means you guys are horrible at customer service and lack any intelligence in reading your work orders. I will only be using this company per my builder for warranty work. But I will never, EVER, recommend or use them for anything else. These people could mess up breathing if it weren’t involuntary. Work order was sent in and plainly stated to bring an IR scanner to check for hotspots, as THEY’VE already had to replace missing insulation in part of the house before. They show up without the scanner, then ask us to put holes in all of the concerned walls to prove that there is or isn’t insulation. They did the same thing last time too. They knock on the walls and swear that it’s a tried and true method in proving if there is or isn’t insulation… again, they’ve done this before and said the wall had insulation, but it most definitely didn’t….hence the reason they had to put insulation in it. Anyways, horrible company, horrible work, horrible customer service, not competent at all, and lack any sort of quality work ethic. Please look else where for an insulation company!

I have had 3 appointments set up with Marshall Insulation to come fix an insulation issue in my bathroom. They have not shown up 3 weeks in a row! No call, no nothing. No explanation and my bathroom is not useable until they come finish the job. How much longer is it going to take?? How much more time am I going to have to waste waiting around for a company that doesn’t show up?? I do not recommend them if you want anything done in a timely manner! Worst!

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Chandler

Does spray foam insulation work well in hot dry climates like Chandler?
Yes — spray foam is highly effective in hot dry climates like Chandler, AZ. While moisture control is less of a concern than in humid climates, the air sealing properties are critical for keeping hot desert air out and cooled air in. In extreme heat climates, an unsealed attic can reach 150°F+, dramatically increasing AC load. Spray foam in the attic can reduce attic temperatures by 30–40°F.
What is the best area of my home to insulate in Chandler?
In hot dry climates like Chandler, AZ, the attic is typically the highest-impact area to spray foam insulate. Desert sun heats roofs to extreme temperatures, and an uninsulated attic transfers that heat directly into your living space. After the attic, crawl spaces and rim joists are the next highest-impact areas. A local contractor can perform an energy audit to identify where your home loses the most conditioned air.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost?
Spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your location. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic costs $2,000–$6,000. Most homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor?
Look for contractors who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
