You can easily see the before and after!!! Called a few insulation places as I always call for 3 different quotes. Sam…. Came in have a price and left. Two others made me sit through an hour “presentation “ with high pressure sales pitch!!! All the bells and whistles that were not necessary. Do yourself a favor and call Sam. He was like $3000 less than the others and did an amazing job. Professional, on time and takes all forms of payment methods too!!!

I had a horrific experience with another contractor and not only did Valley Insulation correct the issues for me, they also took the time to explain to me the problems that the other contractor left. I have since recommended them to two people that are in need of insulation and Valley Insulation will continue to be the go to insulation company that I recommend everyone to contact.

Sam and helper showed up on schedule and did a great job. He found a disconnected duct that was blowing cold air into my attic and repaired that as well. I trust this company.

From start to finish everything went like clockwork. We had an inspection, complete with photos, a detailed proposal and a work schedule all in one sitting. The crew, Raffa, Talin, and the Manager Darwin showed up right on the dot at 6:30 am. Work was done all before noon. We had a duct sealing, full insulation the replacement of a rooftop whirly-bird, and the sealing of all gaps at downlights and at the rooftop HVAC plenum. In choosing Thermo Shield I first contacted SRP, an organization that I trust implicitly. They gave Thermo Shield a thumbs up, indicating that a substantial number of their customers have used Thermo Shield in connection with the utility's energy efficiency rebate programs. That's all I needed to move forward. With summer around the corner I'm confident that we will now be able to control our energy costs.

We had a great experience with this insulation company from start to finish. Caden, who handled the estimate, was extremely knowledgeable and professional, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer all of our questions. The installation crew did an excellent job as well. They were efficient, respectful of our home. Overall, top-notch service and quality work. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for insulation done right.

The company came to the house and gave us a bid. We thought it was reasonable for the work we wanted done. The technicians that came to do the work were prompt, helpful, and very nice to work with. When they were done there was no mess or muss left behind. Couldn't even tell that we had our whole house insulated. So far we are pleased that the insulation is doing what we hoped it would for us. Last year out electric bill was outrageous. The air conditioning runs about 3/4 less than it did last year with the new insulation. We are so glad that we went with the recommended insulation. We feel like it will pay for it's self in a few years. The office staff was amazing to work with. Ashley went above and beyond to make things run smoothly.

I contracted with AZ Insulation to insulate the ceiling and walls of my garage (R38), and install a Mitsubishi mini-split air conditioner/heater. Their work was exemplary: on-time, professionally done, cleaned up when finished. My garage is nice and cool, and it's a pleasure to work on my cars and home projects in there. I highly recommend the folks at AZ Insulation. They are wonderful!

AZ insulation helped to insulate my home. They were extremely professional, were very clean and worked efficiently. Before they insulated my home It was always freezing cold in the winter and very hot in the summer but it’s been much more comfortable after new insualtion. They even took care of the SRP rebate procedure. I highly recommend to get your insulation done through AZ insulation.

Braley and Tyler were great. They came in and were able to access and add insulation to the entire attic space. Note: Had other insulators look at attic and all said that less than half the attic space was accessible. AZ insulation and energy solutions had the job done in two hours including clean up! Would recommend them to everyone

Very professional company. Clean new equipment. Knowledgeable in the product they offer. Showed up on time to both appointments. Friendly staff. Had attic and garage void insulated. Happy with the services provided.

Gave expert opinion during the initial quote and inspection. Scheduled immediately and worked with me to get it done in a timely fashion. They work with SRP who has a rebate offer and they were done in a hour tops.

We recommend Arizona Foam & Spray if you’re looking for a solid, dependable foam roofing expert. It is a family-owned company that’s been in business since 1969, which has always given us a good feeling. They initially installed our roof in l987, and we’ve used them for maintenance through the years. Gary Stys is our consultant at AF&S, and there’s no one better! He’s experienced in the industry and has been unbeatable at responding to us over the phone, via email, and even in person. We appreciate the team at Arizona Foam.

Arizona foam has been a go to for the last several years. They work one-on-one and are highly professional. When I've run into small problems here and there they corrected immediately without any hesitation to make sure that we get the perfect end result every single time. I have used them as a reference for several other professionals in the area when they are holding event in Arizona and need foam for various reasons and builds. Everybody has always thanked me for pointing them in the right direction. The only cons happen to be that they're open until 3:00 p.m. but that's definitely not worth taking a star away. Excellent products and excellent service!

I had an unfortunate experience with this company. They were power washing the roof of my workplace, and debris from their work flew down and damaged my car’s windshield. There were no warning signs or parking restrictions in place, so I had no way of knowing my vehicle was at risk. I immediately contacted the building manager, who directed me to the project supervisor. However, after nearly a month of waiting and multiple follow-ups, I have been ignored and given no resolution. The supervisor initially said he would get back to me but has never followed through. I understand that accidents happen, but the lack of communication and accountability has been frustrating. I would have appreciated a more professional response in handling the situation. If you’re considering hiring them, I recommend ensuring that proper precautions and communication are in place to avoid similar issues.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Mesa

These are the questions Mesa homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 27% typical energy savings. Compare the 8 verified Mesa contractors above for exact quotes.

Does spray foam insulation work well in hot dry climates like Mesa?
Yes — spray foam is highly effective in hot dry climates like Mesa, AZ. While moisture control is less of a concern than in humid climates, the air sealing properties are critical for keeping hot desert air out and cooled air in. In extreme heat climates, an unsealed attic can reach 150°F+, dramatically increasing AC load. Spray foam in the attic can reduce attic temperatures by 30–40°F.
What is the best area of my home to insulate in Mesa?
In hot dry climates like Mesa, AZ, the attic is typically the highest-impact area to spray foam insulate. Desert sun heats roofs to extreme temperatures, and an uninsulated attic transfers that heat directly into your living space. After the attic, crawl spaces and rim joists are the next highest-impact areas. A local contractor can perform an energy audit to identify where your home loses the most conditioned air.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Mesa, AZ?
In Mesa, AZ and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Mesa costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Mesa homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Mesa, AZ?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Mesa, AZ, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Mesa contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Mesa for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
