This review is for Wisconsin Home Improvement/Hime Insulation. I’m not sure I’m on the right site. We are very pleased with the results of our project. It started a little rough. The first crew showed up and were quite negative. Telling me they could t do what I was telling them the owner said was to be done. The lead was a bit condescending and called the company owner. He ended up cutting a section out of my bedroom wall to do the job. It was quite the eye sore. He also came in with the attitude that he was not going to finish the project so a different crew would come the next day to finish. I was originally told I would need to be out of the house the first day from about 8:30am until 3:30pm. As it turned out it was 9:15am to 5:15pm. The next day the second crew came right in time. Extremely kind gentleman. They were done and gone in 40 minutes. Friday I got the 4th crew. They were basically the clean up crew. Installing a door on the gaping hole in my bedroom wall, etc. Again, very kind young men. I was told their work would be 8am to noon. They arrived at 8:30am and left at 3pm. Unfortunately my bedroom light/ceiling fan didn’t work after they were done. I called the office and Lucy set up yet another team to come out on Saturday. Marty and Mike came Saturday and they were amazing. Extremely kind and hard working. They fixed the work that wasn’t done to our satisfaction and fixed the light/ceiling fan fixture. Turned out the ceiling fan, which was here when we bought the house, wasn’t installed properly. Marty took it down vacuumed it all out and added caps and electrical tape to all of the wires. Mike fixed the trap door that was installed but didn’t stay closed. With the exception of the first team, each team cleaned up before they left, leaving no debris in our bedroom. The first night we weren’t even able to sleep in our bed!! (Pictures are what I came home to on day one) What started out as a job to be done in a day and a half became a 4 day ordeal, but Lucy made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. I highly recommend this company to do your insulation work, but I suggest you request Marty and Mike as they were the icing on the cake for our satisfaction.

I've had Ryen and his team out to upgrade my bathroom fan and properly vent it though the roof, resolve some mold in the attic, and do an insulation and ventilation upgrade in the attic and they've done a great job every time. They we're responsive and quick to schedule. When giving a time when they'd show up I was given a specific time instead of a half-day window and when they finished for the day they always cleaned up before leaving. I didn't get competing quotes for the smaller jobs but the price for the larger project was slightly higher than other quotes with the caveat that they were not one to one quotes. One of the differences being that Ryen did some actual construction work while the others wanted to just use foam blocks and the more permanent solution and quality was worth the cost. I'll plan to use them again when I have more insulation or ventilation work done in the future.

Ryen and his crew completed the job in a timely manner. Both him, and his crew were very professional and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves every time they were finished for the day. The quality of their work was excellent. I would highly recommend Accurate Insulation Solutions LLC to all people looking for quality workmanship at a fair price. Thank you.

Ryen and Crew were exceptional. They were very very professional and got the job done in time frame they stated. The cleaned up after the work was done and we could not have been happier. I would recommend them to anyone and you would not be disappointed.

I have had insulation done 3 times in different parts of my home. The 1st time was done in all the walls of the house. That winter i noticed my gas bill went down from previous years. The 2nd time was my family room ceiling. The 3rd time was Oct. 14. 2025. I had the garage done. It keeps the garage warmer by 20 to 30° I read on line. So far it has stopped the mice from moving in since I had this done. I had a serious issue with mice for 2 years. Thank you for being so thorough and extremely helpful. Your employees went above and beyond each time to help me out. All your employees were great, friendly, professional and did an excellent job doing the work and clean up. I definitely recommend 👌 them

Nothing but good things to say! For starters, their quote process was very quick, easy and much more realistic than some other large companies!! Scheduling was easy! The actual install went perfectly and the crew cleaned up after themselves leaving no mess. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends or family!

Wisconsin Insulation Services was very easy to work with. I was remodeling my entire basement( about 1600 sq ft) and had a lot of questions. I spoke with Keith who was very responsive, and answered all my questions. He made it very easy, working from my design plans for a quote. I feel their prices were fair and Keith helped me decide between different levels of the closed cell insulation. When my project took a little bit longer before I was ready for the insulation they were very accommodating and rearranged the schedule to fit me in exactly when I needed their services. On the day the installer came he was very respectful, answered any questions and I felt he did an excellent job. I would feel very comfortable recommending them and using their services again.

Had the basement rim joist air sealed/spray foam insulation done at my home yesterday and the technician Quintin did a fantastic job. Working with Matt was great and I would definitely recommend this company.

We needed our attic insulation replaced due to rodents. Contacted Matt and knew i made the correct call right away. Justin came out to inspect the attic and determine several problems. They were able to schedule us within two weeks. The very professional crew came out and kept everything as clean as when they got here. Found and fixed a few problems we didn't know about and finished the whole job in less than a day. Attic looks like new, all the fans are vented properly and things are sealed up as they should be now. Price was in line with other estimates but I know these guys do more than other companies do for the price. Would definitely recommend this company if you need new insulation or a complete replacement like we had done. Communication was great also.

Matt and his team were a pleasure to work with, all were very professional. We had vermiculite in our attic, and they were extremely professional on how to remove it without it getting in the house at all. The vermiculite did not once enter the house once. If I need to have more insulation work done, I will certainly work with Matt and his team again.

From the first phone call, everything was so easy as a home owner. Sonja was easy to reach and Kevin the on-site tech was knowledgeable, friendly, and even pet my dogs. I would highly reccomend them!

From start to finish we were very happy. We noticed a difference right away after attic insulation was completed. Our home held heat and the furnace hasn’t had to work as hard. The energy inspection they completed identified areas we needed to improve, the installers were friendly and professional. It was also helpful for us to have the company handle all paperwork for obtaining grant money/rebate to help pay for the install. Communication was awesome as well.

I can't praise these guys enough! So thorough, professional, and kind. Genuinely great group of guys. They literally left my house cleaner than it was before they got here too! I've already seen my energy bill go down after their first couple visits and I'm sure it'll go down even more after all the insulation they just did. If you haven't already signed up, do it now!

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in New Berlin

These are the questions New Berlin homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 37% typical energy savings. Compare the 8 verified New Berlin contractors above for exact quotes.

Why is spray foam insulation especially important in cold climates like New Berlin?▼
In cold climates like New Berlin, WI, proper insulation is critical to preventing heat loss, ice dams, and frozen pipes. Spray foam's air-sealing properties stop the cold air infiltration that traditional insulation cannot address. It also prevents the moisture buildup inside walls that leads to mold in cold-weather freeze-thaw cycles. Homeowners in WI typically save 25–35% on heating costs. Note: in tightly sealed homes, proper mechanical ventilation is commonly recommended to maintain fresh air exchange without losing the heat you've paid for.
Does spray foam insulation prevent ice dams in New Berlin?▼
Yes — spray foam insulation is one of the most effective solutions for preventing ice dams in cold climates like New Berlin, WI. Ice dams form when heat escapes through a poorly insulated attic, melting snow that refreezes at the eaves. By creating an air-tight thermal barrier in the attic, spray foam eliminates the heat loss that causes ice dams in the first place.
What R-value do I need for spray foam insulation in New Berlin?▼
For cold climates like New Berlin, WI, the Department of Energy recommends attic insulation of R-49 to R-60. Closed-cell spray foam provides R-6 to R-7 per inch, meaning 8–10 inches achieves code-minimum performance. Open-cell foam at R-3.5 per inch requires greater thickness. A local contractor familiar with WI building codes can recommend the exact specification for your home.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?▼
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in New Berlin, WI?▼
In New Berlin, WI and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in New Berlin costs $2,000–$6,000. Most New Berlin homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?▼
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?▼
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in New Berlin, WI?▼
When searching for a spray foam contractor in New Berlin, WI, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified New Berlin contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in New Berlin for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?▼
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?▼
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
