Great Experience with Tredegar Construction! I recently had Tredegar Construction replace my roof and install blown-in attic insulation, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. We contracted with Comfenergy for insulation removal, air-sealing, and new insulation at a historic hotel renovation we are managing while the building remains occupied. Access was difficult and we had to protect finished areas and Guests below. Their crews showed up consistently, worked clean, coordinated with other trades, and stayed on schedule. They installed an attic catwalk system, sealed penetrations properly, and completed the work without disrupting the hotel's operations. We had zero issues during the project and the Owners are extremely satisfied with the results. I would absolutely hire them again for future projects.

We chose this company based on some coworkers recommendations (I am a licensed realtor of 20 years in this area) and the crew went above and beyond expectations. Final product (new attic insulation) replaced what was most likely original insulation, is now to code for our county and will pass any home inspection. He noticed some electrical items that needed to be addressed in the attic before new insulation went in, otherwise we would not have known. Melvin and his phenomenal team air-sealed and insulated my entire attic assembly - including R60 on both flat and sloped surfaces. The team also encapsulated the duct system and applied a radiant barrier. I am already noticing considerable changes in ambient temperature and air circulation on the top floor, as well as in certain rooms. I also want to thank Jason for the thorough review and discussion of options and for describing the costs and benefits of each solution. I learned a lot in the process. I hired Justin & his crew to clean out mold from our crawl space & encapsulate it with spray foam and a dehumidifier. Overall they did a great job. Got rid of all the mold and did an excellent job overlaying the vapor barrier where needed and sealing up the walls & any openings extremely well with spray foam. The only thing they didn’t do well is install the dehumidifier. It was clear they forgot cinderblocks and it was the last part of the job so they tried to lift it with a foam sheet they had & gravity drain the line outside. Only problem is that didn’t create enough of an angle (shown in the first photo) so when I checked on the crawl space a couple days after the job was done I found the drain line clogged and lots of water on the ground. I’m glad I caught it quick but it required me buying cinderblocks & a condensate pump and installing those myself (shown in the second photo). Annoying they didn’t do the last part well but they did everything else extremely well, which I would argue were the harder parts than buying cinderblocks and a condensate pump. I’d definitely recommend this company for anyone thinking about encapsulating their crawl space.

Awesome company to deal with. They were very fast in responding to my emails and questions. Also fast response time in coming out to look at our project, we redid our crawlspace, and had an estimate to us by the next day. The crew did a great job and picked up their mess when they left.
