We had a great experience with Decker Attic Insulation. They came in as the best rated, and in deed they lived up to it. I was at work at the time of the installation, and I was thoroughly impressed with their work. They were punctual, extremely polite, clean, and they did a great job at fair price! I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

I'm happy with the new insulation that I had installed in my attic by Decker Attic Insulation. Joe came to do an estimate, he was very professional and was very patient in explaining what certain things meant. He was upfront about costs and reasonable with any negotiations. The crew called 30 mins before coming to my house and let me know when they were almost finished. They took everything away, vacuumed, and sanitized the attic. The attic looks good now.

I am beyond satisfied with the service provided by Therma Seal Spray Foam. From the very beginning, their efficiency and professionalism stood out. I received a quote within an hour, which was incredibly impressive. Special thanks to Will Finck, who came out today and went above and beyond my expectations. In a world where good workers and good humans seem hard to come by, Will proved that exceptional service and genuine care still exist. They took the time to ensure everything was done perfectly, never rushing just to get the job done. My attic was spray foamed and sealed with meticulous attention to detail. The outcome is fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a shining example of what service should be. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality work and outstanding customer service.

Big difference I will continue to refer them and am very impressed with the difference it made If anyone is wondering if it’s worth it I’d say definitely worth it . Jensen Insulation was a pleasure to work with and we are very satisfied with the work they did. Harry, the owner, came to give us an estimate within just a few days of calling him for cleaning out our attic, sanitizing it, and installing foam. The work was completed within one week. Isaiah and Fabiola, the installers, were very meticulous and thorough with their cleaning and the foam installation. Harry’s price was fair and was one of the best bids we received out of several estimates. We even got a credit from FPL because his company is listed as one of the recommended companies on their website. I would highly recommend his service to anyone!

We have had their closed cell insulation for the last 10 months. It was installed in our new construction. Wow, what great performance. We have consistent temperature through the house. We are using a small split system and our utility bill is next to nothing. We did install intake air to keep the place from getting stuffy. As for their work it was clean & professional. They came a little later in the day than scheduled but stayed late to finish up. Highly recommended installer. I've been in construction management for 20 years so I have some point of reference.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in West Palm Beach

These are the questions West Palm Beach homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 30% typical energy savings. Compare the 8 verified West Palm Beach contractors above for exact quotes.

Is spray foam insulation a good choice in hot and humid climates like West Palm Beach?
Absolutely. Hot and humid climates like West Palm Beach, FL are actually where spray foam insulation delivers some of its best results. Closed-cell spray foam acts as both an insulation layer and a moisture/vapor barrier, preventing the humidity infiltration that causes mold, rot, and air conditioning inefficiency. Homeowners in FL typically see 20–35% reductions in cooling costs after installation. One important note: because spray foam creates a tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is essential in humid climates to manage interior moisture from daily activities like cooking and bathing.
What type of spray foam is best for homes in West Palm Beach?
In hot and humid climates like West Palm Beach, FL, closed-cell spray foam is generally recommended for exterior walls, crawl spaces, and attics. Its high density creates a moisture barrier critical in humid environments. Open-cell foam can be used in interior walls for soundproofing and actually allows some vapor movement, which can be beneficial in certain wall assemblies. A qualified local contractor can assess your specific home and recommend the best approach.
Can spray foam insulation help reduce my AC bills in West Palm Beach?
Yes — significantly. Air conditioning accounts for the majority of energy costs in hot climates like West Palm Beach, FL. Spray foam seals all gaps and cracks that allow conditioned air to escape, which is the primary cause of high AC bills. Most homeowners in hot climates report 20–30% reductions in cooling costs after spray foam installation.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in West Palm Beach, FL?
In West Palm Beach, FL and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in West Palm Beach costs $2,000–$6,000. Most West Palm Beach homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in West Palm Beach, FL?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in West Palm Beach, FL, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified West Palm Beach contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in West Palm Beach for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
