We recently had a new home built and were shopping around for insulation. After getting quotes from several companies, Joshua and his team at ProFoam and Coatings were by far the most professional and cleanest. They took their time to do the job right, explained the process clearly, and the spray foam installation came out perfect. Our home feels more comfortable, and we’re already noticing energy savings. Definitely the team I’d trust again!

My experience with ProFoam started with Joshua. I had a lot of questions about the process because I was planning to insulate a metal building, and Joshua took the time to explain everything in detail. He was extremely patient with me, especially since it took me over a year to finally move forward with the project. When Joshua’s crew arrived, they were right on time which is rare these days. The team was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. They explained the entire spray foam process clearly and made sure everything was protected before starting. Once the job was complete, they left the area clean and organized. The quality of work exceeded my expectations, and I can already notice a big difference in temperature control. From start to finish, ProFoam delivered an excellent spray foam job. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I highly recommend Joshua and the ProFoam team!

Literally the best contractor out there. Sucked out my dirty cellulose insulation and replaced with spray foam added right to my roof deck. Attic is a comfortable, House is a perfect 70F. Can store stuff up there without it going bad, and not die of heat exposure. No more hot spots on 2nd floor either, AC bill down to $200 in summer time at 70F! Worth every single penny. Did I mention reduction in bugs getting into the house too!

Michael and Jeremy were a pleasure to work with. I bought this older home in south Florida and the insulation was dirty and falling down. I had a home in Georgia with spray foam insulation and I LOVED IT. Could literally stand in the garage in shorts and a t-shirt when it was 19 degrees outside in the winter (yes it gets that cold haha) and I was very comfortable. Same in the middle of summer when temperatures reached high 90 degrees. It was always cool and comfortable in my house and in my garage and attic space. That’s why I wanted to get spray foam for my home because I know it works and helps with energy costs. As you can see from the pictures I took from my amazing iPhone 7 camera (har har) how the spray foam literally gets in every tiny space possible then expands out creating an air tight seal. I swear by spray foam and hope everyone replaces their older fiberglass insulation with spray foam. Much cleaner and safer.

Very friendly and knowledgeable estimator Mike came same day as approached and provided an estimate. Later on I have requested change and he came again and same day provided changed, very reasonable quote. The contract was signed , down payment was executed and installation day was set. Ricky arrived with his crew as planned. They completed job to my full satisfaction. Very friendly, professional, hard working crew. Kudos to the owner Jeremy Klein who runs his company very efficiently and above expectations.

He simplified the whole process and his team of roofers did a wonderful job! They maintained a clean worksite which I genuinely appreciated throughout the process. I saved the best for last, the office manager Brooke was so wonderful to work with. I recommend SPF Roofing Systems for anyone in the market for a new roof.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Pompano Beach

These are the questions Pompano Beach homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 30% typical energy savings. Compare the 4 verified Pompano Beach contractors above for exact quotes.

Is spray foam insulation a good choice in hot and humid climates like Pompano Beach?
Absolutely. Hot and humid climates like Pompano Beach, FL are actually where spray foam insulation delivers some of its best results. Closed-cell spray foam acts as both an insulation layer and a moisture/vapor barrier, preventing the humidity infiltration that causes mold, rot, and air conditioning inefficiency. Homeowners in FL typically see 20–35% reductions in cooling costs after installation. One important note: because spray foam creates a tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is essential in humid climates to manage interior moisture from daily activities like cooking and bathing.
What type of spray foam is best for homes in Pompano Beach?
In hot and humid climates like Pompano Beach, FL, closed-cell spray foam is generally recommended for exterior walls, crawl spaces, and attics. Its high density creates a moisture barrier critical in humid environments. Open-cell foam can be used in interior walls for soundproofing and actually allows some vapor movement, which can be beneficial in certain wall assemblies. A qualified local contractor can assess your specific home and recommend the best approach.
Can spray foam insulation help reduce my AC bills in Pompano Beach?
Yes — significantly. Air conditioning accounts for the majority of energy costs in hot climates like Pompano Beach, FL. Spray foam seals all gaps and cracks that allow conditioned air to escape, which is the primary cause of high AC bills. Most homeowners in hot climates report 20–30% reductions in cooling costs after spray foam installation.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Pompano Beach, FL?
In Pompano Beach, FL and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Pompano Beach costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Pompano Beach homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Pompano Beach, FL?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Pompano Beach, FL, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Pompano Beach contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Pompano Beach for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
