The technicians were quite professional. I guess they are the best guys in California! They provided a lot of help in cleaning the ducts that were jammed for a long time. Also did a nice spray foam insulation in our backroom. My whole family recommends them for their outstanding work.

Frank Burke★★★★★3 years ago

Brilliant workers and one of the best insulation services in California! After the work was done, there was no mess, and my house is better insulated for the coming winter! I'm so glad I hired them for the job, and I think I got it done at a very reasonable cost.

I am a Crew Lead, at Loyalty Insulation. Loyalty Insulation is more than just a job, we are a family. The love and guidance the owners and supervisors give is more than any other job I've ever been at. The comradarie that we share makes working at Loyalty just that much better! I truly feel blessed to be able to be apart of the Loyalty team. They have so much work for us and I am so very greatful for that as well as many other things that's to much to type!

Brian Stengel★★★★★4 months ago

Very happy with the work that Danzik and the team at Loyalty Insulation completed above our garage and in all the exterior walls. We’ll definitely be using them to re-insulate the entire house once we have a few more bucks put aside for this. I would absolutely suggest calling them and having them come out and either insulate something that’s not or re-insulate that 20 years of insulation that’s probably not even R13 anymore. This was way overdue for us after living here for nine years, and wish we did it sooner. I found Loyalty Insulation on a social media ad and by far, they’ve been the best company we’ve used from a social media ad in the past. I wouldn’t expect anything else in the future, but to exceed our standards in the future.

They are fast and do high quality work. We got blown-in insulation for a basement ceiling and the netting they installed was absolutely perfectly cut and affixed to the beams. It made the basement so quiet and they were quick to respond to our initial outreach. Every interaction, from initial contact to full install felt like a white-glove treatment and I was fully satisfied with the end result. So glad we found and called these guys. Highly recommended.

David and his crew were very professional, completed the job quickly and cleanly, and his prices are reasonable. He even helped me file the insulation rebate with Dominion Energy, which got us some money back. His wife also recommended the contractor we used to patch up the walls, who did a great job. Would definitely recommend them for your next insulation project!

Lisa Woods★★★★★a year ago

What an amazing company. So glad we found them to with a few days notice do an amazing job in our basement. We will definitely hire them again.

Amazing customer service + high quality foam insulation installation :) absolutely recommend!!

John, the estimater, gave expert advice regarding spray foam insulation, was very low key, friendly and his pitch was low/no pressure. The work was done while we were not home, they left no messes, and performed the job as promised. We paid a deposit of 30% up front and the remainder was invoiced by email after the work was completed. I received a veteran's discount and a discount for paying with a check. Emily and Nate were great in the office, too. Highly recommended!

I have worked with J&K Insulation twice now. I am a DIY kind of person. The two projects have been small renovations on my 50 year old home, but J&K has treated me great. Jeff is very professional and his crew left my work area cleaner than when they arrived. They provided me great value for the project. I am very pleased with the work provided.

I had a weird problem with condensation in an outbuilding. Jeff came to look at it, and after spending almost an hour, pointed me to a different solution that had nothing to do with insulation. He was able to assess the real problem, and then declined my offer to pay him for his expertise and time. Over-the-top customer service. Keeping his card for when I do need insulation.

Trevor M★★★★★3 years ago

I had the pleasure of having Jeff come by my home to consult me about some hot rooms above a garage. He brought by an IR camera and went through both my main level and upstairs pointing out hot spots and explaining what could be the cause. He was very thorough and gave me some great options to look into. It is clear that Jeff knows what he is talking about and has a lot of experience. I will be using J&K when I figure out what I want to do.

Highly recommend USI,,salesman Gregory was Awsume to work with,,, he was the only insulation salesperson to tell me about the rebate on doing basement walls. So happy with them.

Parker Jackson★★★★★2 years ago

Amazing Experience! Worked with Cody and Chris, who were very professional and did an amazing job touching up the insulation in my new home. The original contractors (not USI) had missed several spots and the temperature in our home would vary significantly from room to room. Cody and Chris came on time and were very careful to ensure that they didn't leave any mess. They touched up the insulation and even put in a bit extra to ensure that we wouldn't have any issues. I will definitely be using USI for any future insulation services.

I hired USI to insulate my garage and they did a fantastic job. They blew in r38 in the attic and filled the walls. The walls are sheet rocked so they cored holes and blew the insulation into the cavities. Great price from RJ and the installers were friendly and professional. They left the garage cleaner than it was when they arrived. I will definitely use them again

I was going to give them a 2 star for losing the key to the truck and blocking me in my driveway so that I was late for a work meeting, but the service was incredible. Amazing job. My workers were Andre and Jose. Not quite sure if that was their names. Great job by them

My experience with this company was pre-Covid.. the job was done in order to create a sound barrier between 1st floor and basement in an older home.. the company's rep came out to give me his opinion.. he initially told me that it would work and also that it would only be a minimum of 6 holes in ceiling.. I will honestly say, his superior could not guarantee that it would help.. now i know why...an insulation company of this size and experience, would know that this type of insulation is not recommended for soundproofing.. he knew and should have recommended another product... this review should have been written 2 years ago..why know? do i expect to get my 527 dollars back? No..(and boy do i feel stupid for paying)...in short, the reason Im taking a minute to write this is because every time i look at my ceiling in my living room and master room I see a total of 48 holes..(boy do i feel stupid).. it'll cost me a 1000 to patch holes.. could you imagine the mess of pulling down ceiling to replace, not to mention cost. (and boy do i feel stupid).. so please ask the right questions!! these representatives took advantage of ignorance.. its too bad that in this climate that we live in, we still can't trust.. thanks, too mad to look up..

Well, if your drivers of your vehicles are a representation of your company I will never use or recommend your services. The driver wouldn't let me merge and when I tried to he kept honking at me incessantly. Completely rude and inappropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Ogden

These are the questions Ogden homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 37% typical energy savings. Compare the 10 verified Ogden contractors above for exact quotes.

Why is spray foam insulation especially important in cold climates like Ogden?▼
In cold climates like Ogden, UT, proper insulation is critical to preventing heat loss, ice dams, and frozen pipes. Spray foam's air-sealing properties stop the cold air infiltration that traditional insulation cannot address. It also prevents the moisture buildup inside walls that leads to mold in cold-weather freeze-thaw cycles. Homeowners in UT typically save 25–35% on heating costs. Note: in tightly sealed homes, proper mechanical ventilation is commonly recommended to maintain fresh air exchange without losing the heat you've paid for.
Does spray foam insulation prevent ice dams in Ogden?▼
Yes — spray foam insulation is one of the most effective solutions for preventing ice dams in cold climates like Ogden, UT. Ice dams form when heat escapes through a poorly insulated attic, melting snow that refreezes at the eaves. By creating an air-tight thermal barrier in the attic, spray foam eliminates the heat loss that causes ice dams in the first place.
What R-value do I need for spray foam insulation in Ogden?▼
For cold climates like Ogden, UT, the Department of Energy recommends attic insulation of R-49 to R-60. Closed-cell spray foam provides R-6 to R-7 per inch, meaning 8–10 inches achieves code-minimum performance. Open-cell foam at R-3.5 per inch requires greater thickness. A local contractor familiar with UT building codes can recommend the exact specification for your home.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?▼
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Ogden, UT?▼
In Ogden, UT and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Ogden costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Ogden homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?▼
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?▼
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Ogden, UT?▼
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Ogden, UT, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Ogden contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Ogden for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?▼
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?▼
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
