ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE SERVICE! I contacted epic spray foam to insulate my new 2400 sqft garage. They showed up and completed the whole job in 1 single day. They were super accommodating in every way. My new building has zero echo in it and already dropped the temperature almost 10 degrees from the day before insulation! 10 out of 10 recommended

EPIC Spray Foam was fantastic to work with. Super responsive, very knowledgeable. Its been about 2 weeks since we had our install and we can already feel the results both in the air and in our energy spend. If you're struggling to keep your upstairs cool during the hot summer months, look no further than EPIC Spray Foam. They have also been really responsive with me, after the fact, as I submit the paperwork for GA Power rebates. Could not recommend more.

Epic Spray Foam was professional every step of the way, and they did exactly what they said they would do! They removed all of the old insulation in our attic, sanitized, and installed spray foam. Wow what a difference!! Our attic went from being 130+ degrees in the summer to ~78 degrees!! I highly recommend Epic Spray Foam—-their honest approach, top rated product, and attention to detail is second to none!

The crew at IOA were AWESOME! My wife and I got some radiant barrier and insulation up in the attic. I'll be as in-depth as possible here: THE CREW: We had a 3-man crew in and out in about 3 hours. They were SUPER pro- used drop-cloths to make sure the floors stayed clean, were very courteous and kind, and handled the install like bosses. They worked hard until the work was done, and made barely any noise doing it (so you can still work from home if you need to be around that day). THE INSTALL I did a good bit of studying before hiring, so I knew what the end result should look like. The crew exceeded it- radiant barrier was correctly installed, insulation was blown in to code (and then some) and flattened out, and the whole job just looked CLEAN. THE RESULTS On top of everything, the final install gave us awesome results- our house has been about 10-12% cooler during the day (from 76 degrees to 67-68). Sorry for the in-depth post, but I can't say enough about IOA. I would use them again in a second, and recommend them to anybody. Great, pro service with nice contractors and quick response & turnaround. Thank you!

Brian and the team at Insulation over Atlanta were great to work with! We had old insulation removed and spray foam insulation added to our attic. The job was done in two days and we're very happy with the results. Alfredo and team were there on time and laid down lots of drop cloths to keep the floors clean of debris. They cleaned up well after they were done. Working with Brian was easy and the entire process went smoothly, I'd definitely recommend Insulation Over Atlanta!

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Canton

Below are common questions Canton, GA homeowners ask about spray foam insulation cost, types, and installation. For local pricing and to compare verified contractors in Canton, browse the listings above.

Does spray foam insulation work well in hot dry climates like Canton?
Yes — spray foam is highly effective in hot dry climates like Canton, GA. While moisture control is less of a concern than in humid climates, the air sealing properties are critical for keeping hot desert air out and cooled air in. In extreme heat climates, an unsealed attic can reach 150°F+, dramatically increasing AC load. Spray foam in the attic can reduce attic temperatures by 30–40°F.
What is the best area of my home to insulate in Canton?
In hot dry climates like Canton, GA, the attic is typically the highest-impact area to spray foam insulate. Desert sun heats roofs to extreme temperatures, and an uninsulated attic transfers that heat directly into your living space. After the attic, crawl spaces and rim joists are the next highest-impact areas. A local contractor can perform an energy audit to identify where your home loses the most conditioned air.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Canton, GA?
In Canton, GA and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Canton costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Canton homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Canton, GA?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Canton, GA, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Canton contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Canton for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
