I am blown away at the turnaround Statewide GEO was able to provide with everything I needed done in time for my inspection. The entire start to finish was seamless, very nice crew and unbelievable work ethic. I was referred by a friend who also hired Statewide GEO for their business endeavors and I am very pleased with the final results.

We had a phenomenal experience with USA Ins. Neil was very, very knowledgable of his product and felt confident after install we would be pleased with the after effects. Natalie could not have been nicer during the process. She was very professional, had a sweet voice & great follow thru. On the day of install, Noah did a nice job of explaining the process then he and his team worked quickly. Noah took pictures and showed us before and after insulation. Thank you to the entire USA team that made our experience exceptional.

I had been getting higher than normal power bills and reached out to USA Insulation of Tampa Bay. We discovered that I was lacking in insulation in my attic space. The installers, Noah, Spencer and Mark, were prompt, very efficient, personable and professional. It was a great experience all around. A big thank you to Neal and the team. I would not hesitate to recommend USA Insulation of Tampa Bay.

Following the storms of September 2024, our home interior basically has been rebuilt. During the construction a great deal of traffic went through the attic and it was recommended that we have new insulation blown into the attic. After a review, we realized we needed a major re-fill of our attic insulation and USA Insulation was recommended by a trusted vendor. The USA crew provided great service and completed the job as promised. Natalie at the office was friendly, reliable, and provided great communication. We would use their services again.

I often try to support small businesses and I am extremely satisfied with my decision to work with DeRusha. They were extremely helpful in discussing my issues, and providing the best course of action. Especially when we ultimately ran into hiccups, DeRusha’s quick communication and reasonable accommodation made me feel like we were a team rather than a customer. I highly recommend working with DeRusha and will be happy to work with them in the future.

One Saturday afternoon in early April, I was calling around looking for information about insulation. I was trying to find a quick fix with the right products & an overall good solution for keeping an older home as cool as possible. Tree work had previously been done to remove hazardous limbs hanging directly over the house, so we lost the canopy of shade the tree provided for the roof when it was cut back. It was already getting into the 90s outside so we wanted to find a good company to quickly help us add more comfort and improve energy efficiency to the home. DeRusha was the only company who answered the phone as I was actually placing the call. (Before that, I had left a message with several other companies, and to this very day, have still never had anyone call us back). James DeRusha was very easy to talk to. He was friendly, very knowledgable, and more than accomodating, especially since we were taking a tenants needs into consideration with scheduling. We were trying hard to get the job done, but we had to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control. When we called back a few weeks later, he was still very helpful & got us rescheduled right away. A few days later, James promptly got the job completely done, just like he said he would. There was no run around, no deception, no last minute surprise fees. The guys that came out were very friendly, punctual, easy going and they cleaned up before they left. They did not leave the yard littered or inside the house a big mess. This was by far the easiest, most hassle free home improvement company I've hired in a long, loooong time. Call them. You wont regret it. I truly appreciate the great job they did and the huge worry James & his crew lifted off of me.

This company promised a fast, high-quality service and delivered it on time, very affordable and free from worries. From our first phone call, I never felt any pressure. The owner, James, asked me to do my own research into the products his company is offering for a complete removal and replacement of our under the house insulation, after being fully damaged by flooding from a hurricane. After my research, I knew that I didn't need to shop around anymore. He just made us feel safe and we decided to trust him. The communication between us was superb. He did not go around, he literally told us how he was going to do it, and he did it. In addition to this, the two "gentlemen", (no other way to describe them) who did the job, were extremely polite, knowledgeable, and just like the owner, they made us feel, from the first moment, that we had made the right decision. I definitely recommend them. Thanks again to James and his crew.

We contacted them after hurricane Milton and they came out immediately and their team was incredibly polite and professional! Our entire ridge vent blew off of our roof during the hurricane and they were sympathetic and quick to get the job done! They did not only an amazing job, but cleaned everything up and were super fair on price! Joe came out to inspect the job while they were still here and to ensure that we were happy! I will continue to recommend them!

I recently hired Daniels to install 2 shower doors. There were to be installed by December 22 of last year and to say the least they are still not installed. They are even saying another 2 weeks and the condos are partially installed and not able to be used! From the fixed panel being the wrong size to the accessories of the doors being wrong it has been an unforgettable experience. To say the least I would advise any and all to stay away from getting glass shower doors from them. This has caused jobs not to be finished as these are the last items to be installed and guess what they have already sent me the bill for the incomplete work. So disappointing but as it goes time to find a better supplier.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Clearwater

These are the questions Clearwater homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 30% typical energy savings. Compare the 6 verified Clearwater contractors above for exact quotes.

Is spray foam insulation a good choice in hot and humid climates like Clearwater?
Absolutely. Hot and humid climates like Clearwater, FL are actually where spray foam insulation delivers some of its best results. Closed-cell spray foam acts as both an insulation layer and a moisture/vapor barrier, preventing the humidity infiltration that causes mold, rot, and air conditioning inefficiency. Homeowners in FL typically see 20–35% reductions in cooling costs after installation. One important note: because spray foam creates a tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is essential in humid climates to manage interior moisture from daily activities like cooking and bathing.
What type of spray foam is best for homes in Clearwater?
In hot and humid climates like Clearwater, FL, closed-cell spray foam is generally recommended for exterior walls, crawl spaces, and attics. Its high density creates a moisture barrier critical in humid environments. Open-cell foam can be used in interior walls for soundproofing and actually allows some vapor movement, which can be beneficial in certain wall assemblies. A qualified local contractor can assess your specific home and recommend the best approach.
Can spray foam insulation help reduce my AC bills in Clearwater?
Yes — significantly. Air conditioning accounts for the majority of energy costs in hot climates like Clearwater, FL. Spray foam seals all gaps and cracks that allow conditioned air to escape, which is the primary cause of high AC bills. Most homeowners in hot climates report 20–30% reductions in cooling costs after spray foam installation.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Clearwater, FL?
In Clearwater, FL and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Clearwater costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Clearwater homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Clearwater, FL?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Clearwater, FL, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Clearwater contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Clearwater for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
