Spray Foam Insulation in Palo Alto, CA

I just had my attic cleaned out yesterday and new insulation put in. They did an excellent job sealing off the rest of the house so no dust would get in and accomplished everything in one day, including cleaning up everything. The workers were so nice and polite and I am very pleased that I am now ready for winter. I will highly recommend them.

Having previously enjoyed a Dura-Foam roof on the last Eichler home I owned, I knew I would go with Dura-Foam when it was time for a new roof on my current Eichler. I contracted with Dura-Foam for a foam roof and a solar install. The foam roof is excellent and the FranklinWH system for solar is such a joy. Trevor, Eli and the crews are highly competent and take great care in their work. Furthermore, Dura-Foam has a relationship with very good subcontractors who installed fans and did electrical work (which made sense to do when getting a new roof). I highly recommend Dura-Foam.

I too had a skylight leak 3 & 1/2 years after my roof was done. They fixed it. For the people who need theirs done just keep calling - they will schedule you. It is like anything these days - just follow up and it will get done. The guys who came out where super respectful and it took all of 5 minutes to have the repair done. The foam keeps our house 15 degrees cooler in the summer and the same with the heat - lots of $ saved there!!

American Foam Experts re-did my roof in summer of 2021. As part of the roof work, they replaced two double-bubble skylights. One of those skylights has significant cracking throughout the interior bubble (to the point where pieces are falling into the house). In June, they stated they would order a replacement and have it installed before end of October. Today (middle of November) they informed me they've changed their stance to this issue being caused by debris or tree limbs. The interior bubble has significant damage where there is no damage to the exterior bubble, and we have no trees anywhere near the rooftop. I now feel compelled to pursue remediation via CSLB and arbitration. Throughout the entire process I have had to follow up multiple times with no response, had to re-share my contract multiple times (apparently they don't keep records), and generally had a terrible experience. I would not recommend working with AFE if it can at all be avoided.

American Foam Experts, a company we went with because it was recommended to us, never finished the job we paid them for. Also: 1) With the skylights, they put in the wrong size and left the wood unstained and unvarnished. 2) They left masking tape up at our clerestory windows, one of which is broken (they agreed to pay for it but never did). 3) They left an inch or two of what looks like fake snow visible from all of our living-room windows because they never tapered off the foam. We paid American Foam Experts close to $30,000 in September 2023. Between October 2023 and May 2024 we called and emailed them to ask them to finish the job. One person said they would organize it, but we never heard anything more. The worst thing is that American Foam Experts never came back to complete the work we paid them for and then stopped answering calls and emails from us, from our property managers and from the realtor who was selling our house and who explained that the unfinished job would have to be part of the disclosure agreement. They never replied. Make sure that this company has completed any job for you before you make a final payment.
