I needed someone to come and evaluate my roof. Ben came the same week for an inspection. It turned out our roof just needed some maintenance and no re-roofing was required. The price we were quoted was very reasonable and are going to schedule soon. I recommend Desert roof concepts 100%. Their honesty earned my business.

How fortunate people are to have a great company that cares about their quality of work and communication. These people deserve a higher rating than 5 stars. Every day, workers cleaned up and kept an orderly and clean looking work environment. And, when they were finished, neighbors came over to comment on how nice the roof looked and matched the surrounding homes.

I have to compliment the owner, Mr Young, on his professionalism and thoughtful and honest review of our property. We called him regarding roof problems with our HOA and problems with our current roofing contractor. He explained that he does work only on private residences or businesses, and that he was not interested in doing work for our HOA. In spite of that, he was extremely helpful to us in making decisions about how to move forward to deal with our roofing issues, and it was much appreciated! He talked with us several times on the phone, even though he was busy that day with something personal, and answered many important questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor who will be frank and honest with you, and most likely be very reliable.

Trying to match this tile and color seemed to be an hopeless task, until I called RWC. Not only did they have it, Paul the manager, went up and above to make sure they had the right tile! He also made sure that a novice tile roof installer like myself had all the materials and knowledge I needed to get the job done!!!! Thanks a million!!!!

After more than 12 months of emails and phone calls, I am accepting the fact that Miguel and his crew will not honor the maintenance warranty for the foam bonding on my roof. So disappointed with their customer service and unresponsive level of correspondence, especially when I have 6 years left on my warranty. If you desire professionalism, honesty and a job well executed the first time, avoid this company.

Needed to replace or repair a cracked driveway and saw photos online for this new process that looked great and sounded quick and affordable HOWEVER, after multiple calls no one EVER called back. Not a good sign at all. In the end I replaced the driveway with concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Palm Springs

These are the questions Palm Springs homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 27% typical energy savings. Compare the 5 verified Palm Springs contractors above for exact quotes.

Does spray foam insulation work well in hot dry climates like Palm Springs?
Yes — spray foam is highly effective in hot dry climates like Palm Springs, CA. While moisture control is less of a concern than in humid climates, the air sealing properties are critical for keeping hot desert air out and cooled air in. In extreme heat climates, an unsealed attic can reach 150°F+, dramatically increasing AC load. Spray foam in the attic can reduce attic temperatures by 30–40°F.
What is the best area of my home to insulate in Palm Springs?
In hot dry climates like Palm Springs, CA, the attic is typically the highest-impact area to spray foam insulate. Desert sun heats roofs to extreme temperatures, and an uninsulated attic transfers that heat directly into your living space. After the attic, crawl spaces and rim joists are the next highest-impact areas. A local contractor can perform an energy audit to identify where your home loses the most conditioned air.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Palm Springs, CA?
In Palm Springs, CA and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Palm Springs costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Palm Springs homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Palm Springs, CA?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Palm Springs, CA, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Palm Springs contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Palm Springs for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
