Use Excellence for a reroof of casita and existing main roof foam repair around new solar panel legs. Extremely thorough preparation including protection of surrounding area from over spray etc. Did prep and foaming one week apart to fit in with my other contractors. Used heavier, more durable flashing than most and installed it the best way possible to prevent future leaks. Nice to work with a contractor who is proud of the end product. Highly recommended.

I've had an excellent experience with Excellence Foam Roofing Inc. As a property manager, I was recommended to them and have since used their services for all my properties. One of the things that impressed me was the owner, Ramon's, hands-on approach to every project. His professionalism and attention to detail are truly commendable.

We had an electric project, which entailed replacing our older main electric panel. The project needed to install a new SCE connection pipe through the roof. We connected with Care Roofing from a reference and the response was very quick and the estimate was given promptly. Our roof is concrete tile and required a repair on the old and the new connection areas. It was coordinated between the electrical contractor and Care Roofing, the project had the final inspection same day. I appreciated the professional coordination and repairs matched very well. Great job!!!

Rene and the crew did a great job installing a new roof for my house. Their price was fair compared to a few other companies that I had received estimates for. Once the materials were delivered the installation was done quickly (3 days) and cleanup wasn’t an issue. Keep in mind that if new unpainted plywood sheets or siding boards are installed you will need to communicate to Care Roofing about having them painted afterwards which they can setup with a contractor. Before and after photos below. Would go with them again.

I highly recommend this company and am always willing and pleased to answer any questions anyone may have in their regard.

I submitted a request for roof repair via the company's website. Todd responded the same day to let me know he had received my request for a quote. Within the next business day, I had the quote and the repair scheduled. Two days later, Pedro and his team were at my house and repairing my roof. They were done before noon and you never would have known they were here. The most detailed site cleanup from any project I have contracted. Definitely recommend Reliable Roofing to everyone.

We decided to go with Attic Advisor because Dominic who came out to quote us was honest and had a lot of integrity. They also have competitive prices and seemed to be most thorough. We are very happy with our choice in who we picked to go with. Every employee we have worked with has been nothing but kind, understanding, and easy to work with. Our attic was a disaster and now it is fixed up, cleaned up and properly insulated. They also did a great job containing the debris as I am pregnant and very grateful the protocols they took to look after our health.

Can't say enough good things about the work by Dominic, Tyler and the Attic Advisor team on their work at our new home. The work entailed vacuuming out decades-old insulation from our low-pitch attic, cleaning up past rodent infestations, patching up seams and vent gaps, then returning at a later date to sanitize and clean the attic before installing new blown-in insulation. Throughout the entire process, Dominic, Tyler and their team were respectful of the property, responsive to questions, and flexible when I needed to move dates around because we had other work going on. Everything looks great. I really appreciate the work done by Attic Advisor!

Attic Advisor cleaned my attic, did rodent control and laid insulation. The salesman, Dominic, did a thorough inspection of the attic and gave me a reasonable estimate. He explained the issues and the remediation so well that I totally understood everything. Aaron the project manager along with Felix showed up shortly after I accepted the estimate. They were great. Aaron did a fabulous job of explaining all the work that had been done, along with showing me the photos. And I don't want to forget about David- the point of contact and office coordinator. He was always available to answer any of my concerns. I would highly recommend this company.

I have to compliment the owner, Mr Young, on his professionalism and thoughtful and honest review of our property. We called him regarding roof problems with our HOA and problems with our current roofing contractor. He explained that he does work only on private residences or businesses, and that he was not interested in doing work for our HOA. In spite of that, he was extremely helpful to us in making decisions about how to move forward to deal with our roofing issues, and it was much appreciated! He talked with us several times on the phone, even though he was busy that day with something personal, and answered many important questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor who will be frank and honest with you, and most likely be very reliable.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Cathedral City

These are the questions Cathedral City homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 35% typical energy savings. Compare the 5 verified Cathedral City contractors above for exact quotes.

How much can spray foam insulation save on heating and cooling bills in Cathedral City?▼
Homeowners in mixed climates like Cathedral City, CA typically see 20–30% reductions in total energy costs after spray foam installation. The savings come from both reduced heating in winter and reduced cooling in summer. The exact savings depend on your home's current insulation, size, and local energy rates, but most homeowners recoup the investment within 3–6 years.
Is spray foam better than fiberglass insulation for homes in Cathedral City?▼
For most homes in Cathedral City, CA, spray foam outperforms fiberglass significantly. Fiberglass batts insulate but do not air seal — meaning conditioned air still escapes through gaps. Spray foam both insulates and creates an airtight seal, addressing the root cause of energy loss. While spray foam costs more upfront, the performance difference in mixed climates makes it the better long-term investment for most homeowners.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?▼
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Cathedral City, CA?▼
In Cathedral City, CA and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Cathedral City costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Cathedral City homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?▼
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?▼
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Cathedral City, CA?▼
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Cathedral City, CA, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Cathedral City contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Cathedral City for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?▼
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?▼
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
