We chose 5 Star Insulation as our contractor to install insulation through the Columbia Gas subsidy program (which ended 12/31/22). We were very happy with both the work they performed and the overall customer service experience they provided. 5 Star Insulation is absolutely worthy of that name! Other contractors would probably have given substandard service because we were only paying a few hundred out of pocket, but they treated us like any other paying customer. The workers were extremely respectful, always cleaned up after their work, and always provided a heads-up about potential issues. On top of all that, despite being understaffed, they still completed the job in the same amount of time. Absolutely recommend them to anyone who’s looking to get their house insulated.
I agree with all other positive reviews herein. 5-Star Insulation insulated my attic 1/11/2021. The crew arrived on time. They asked to see the Columbia Gas rebate energy audit results before they started. They treated my home as though it were their own. They communicated key information to me. They worked as a team, they worked their butts off, and ensured that the job was done correctly. They went above and beyond by carrying heavy stuff that was stored in the attic into the garage. I was given a hard copy receipt. They cleaned up & in so doing left my home cleaner than it was prior to their arrival, amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 5 Star Insulation insulated our house, built in 1948, under a Columbia Gas rebate program, in early January 2019. The crew worked hard and steadily over the 2 days they were here. All five crew members were friendly and courteous and good workers. Ray, the owner, gave us the estimate in late 2018 and he was a true professional. The crew showed up when Ray said they would and the job took as long as he said it would. They left our house cleaner than when they started. And our house is definitely warmer and less drafty. Highly recommended.
