Summit Insulation's Spray Foam Insulation I'm the original owner of my Ryland home Crofton, which was built during fall of 1992 and completed January 1993. I was the first home owner on Patrice Circle in my Crofton Woods neighborhood. I have the McHenry model, with a Victorian style facade. Grey Aluminum siding, with navy blue shutters and door, and white trim. Over the years, the traffic and noise volume has only increased on Rt 3/301. Although up to code insulation wise when built, and with replacement windows and new exterior doors already installed, I still could not escape the growing traffic and neighborhood noise. My MHIC Geremias Gomez had jokingly said to me - "Welcome to the mobile home park". I burst out laughing and replied, you're absolutely right! I then began the search to find an insulation contractor who would spray in expanding foam insulation to fill the space between the exterior siding and the interior sheet rock walls. Baltimore based Summit is the only remaining company that provides this type of insulation service. So I contacted them, and Tom Ragsdale came out, gave me the estimate and I quickly signed the contract. The work was performed yesterday, and all day event from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Chris and his all Latino team of seven men were wonderful to work with. Very respectful of me and the interior of my house. The exterior of my house, grey aluminum siding, now looks cleaner and brighter than it did before they began their spray foam insulation process. I can already tell the difference in noise reduction, and it's been less than 24 hours since they finished their job! Finally I'm very grateful for the caring manner with which my Latino crew treated me. They knew I had my right hip replacement surgery less than 30 days ago. They were so careful to make sure I didn't accidentally stumble and fall, extending me an arm to grab if needed. In short, they treated me as they would want their Abuela to be treated. Just had my entire house insulated. It's a 25 year old house, but we would get drafts, and our electric bills were sky high. Had an OUTSTANDING experience with everyone from Joe the estimator, to Chris the crew supervisor, as well as Dan the owner. Everyone was courteous, professional, and extremely hard working. My house was a 2 day job, and it rained on the first day, but apparently that doesn't stop these guys at all! The entire 4 man crew kept working through the rain, and came back the next day to complete the job in it's entirety. I was able to see and hear the insulation being pumped into my walls, and it's still only the first day since the completion, but the sound difference is immediate. I already live in a quiet neighborhood, but now you can hear a pin drop. I didn't even know that sound reduction was a benefit, but if that's what you're looking for, this stuff really works! Time will tell if my heating and air conditioning bills improve, but I can say that I already feel cozier as the weather is finally turning cold. I highly recommend Summit insulation, and taking the time to compose this review is proof enough, as I rarely write reviews at all :)
