Marc the owner was very knowledgeable and professional, clearly knew his business. I thought his price was very reasonable for a quality job. His staff arrived when Marc said they would and all, Gilbert and Luis and Mike and Greg, went right to work and left a thoroughly clean job site when done. My house is 25 years old with a very complex attic/second floor framing layout but they handled it without difficulty. I can highly recommend Flagler Foam.

Excellent job and highly recommend! I contacted several companies to give me a quote for removing our prior insulation and install foam insulation. Flagler Foam came highly recommended based upon their past work and also were very reasonably priced. Marc, who the owns the company, has been extremely communicative throughout and he is very knowledgeable and professional. The crews that came out for both the removal and installation were prompt, extremely professional and courteous, and cleaned up the debris before they left.

Greg Jones★★★★★6 years ago

Marc is very responsive and genuinely cares about answering all his customer's questions. The crew's work was thorough and professional. They go the extra mile to ensure the customer is happy. We had closed cell foam applied in the crawl space (previously no insulation) and blown-in done in the attic to replace the batting. What a difference! I would recommend Flagler Foam to anyone looking to upgrade or replace their insulation.

We had a shed insulated with hard foam. They had the lowest quote so hired them as many of us are trying to save money. They arrived on time & cleaned up afterwards. Did a great job

Energy Insulation was absolutely fantastic! They came out to do our blown-in attic insulation and the entire experience was perfect from start to finish. Their team had great knowledge, worked efficiently, and had the whole attic completed in about 20–25 minutes. The pricing was excellent, and they even helped us secure a rebate, which was a huge bonus. I would recommend them 100% of the time to anyone looking for insulation services. Outstanding company and outstanding service!

Recently switched to Imperial after being dissatisfied with another company. Already I have been happy with Corey’s professionalism and service. I appreciate the call when he’s on the way and updates on how my yard is doing. Already I’ve seen a huge improvement with the alligator weed problem we had and looking forward to continued improvement with our grass.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cornerstone Spray Foam Insulation did an outstanding job! Claudio and Brian worked efficiently from start to finish and communicated exceptionally well throughout the process. They were extremely knowledgeable, explained what they were doing, and made everything easy to understand. They also cleaned up behind themselves and left the space spotless. The quality of their work truly shows — highly recommend!

I was looking to add more insulation to my attic, and I’m so glad I found this company! They were incredibly responsive, calling me back promptly to schedule an estimate. Brian arrived exactly on time for our appointment, which I really appreciated. He took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and went up to the attic to thoroughly inspect the insulation. What really stood out to me was that Brian didn’t just describe the situation—he took multiple videos to show me exactly what was going on with the existing insulation. He then provided an honest and clear explanation of what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I was genuinely impressed by Brian’s positive attitude, professionalism, and transparency throughout the process. He made me feel confident in the quality of the work they’ll provide. I’m definitely hiring them for the job and will be recommending Brian and his team to my friends without hesitation!

HVAC company that installed our new AC unit and ductwork made mention that we'd probably do well to have the attic insulation improved. A neighbor had AtticMan, and recommended their services, so I gave them a call. The only issue I had was someone getting back to me, seems when you're good, you're busy :) They worked with me and gave me a decent quote for a full removal of the (50 year??) old dirty dusty insulation and a new blow in of R-38. The friendly cleanout crew arrived on time and worked in a very professional manner. After hours of cleaning up all that old, dirty, dingy insulation, the professional wool-blowing crew was right there behind them, and completed the entre job in no time. Very good work and I would highly recommend them.

Every summer, our garage would reach temperatures well over 100 degrees due to the hot attic air radiating down. We finally decided to take action and called Attic Man. The office staff was pleasant and helpful, scheduling the assessment promptly and following up with the installation. They arrived as scheduled, and two hours later, the job was complete. What a worthwhile investment and a great company to work with. Thank you, Attic Man!

Jeremy Rios★★★★★3 years ago

Attic man did a fantastic job with my spray foam insulation. On day one we had an incident removing the old insulation. A bag broke and there was a mess everywhere. My project manager Max came personally and made sure everything was spotless before he left. Max didn't hesitate to offer us professional detail cleaning service for our vehicles that got a little messy. We declined the offer being that it was just an accident and we washed the vehicles off ourselves. No harm, no foul but it was nice that the offer was there. They were also best priced from several contractors in town and most informative, some contractors that I spoke with didn't have a clue or half the knowledge about what they were doing then Max did. Max followed up the next day and a few days later making sure all was well. We are very happy with attic man's performance and will definitely recommend. Top notch company.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Daytona Beach

Is spray foam insulation a good choice in hot and humid climates like Daytona Beach?
Absolutely. Hot and humid climates like Daytona Beach, FL are actually where spray foam insulation delivers some of its best results. Closed-cell spray foam acts as both an insulation layer and a moisture/vapor barrier, preventing the humidity infiltration that causes mold, rot, and air conditioning inefficiency. Homeowners in FL typically see 20–35% reductions in cooling costs after installation. One important note: because spray foam creates a tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is essential in humid climates to manage interior moisture from daily activities like cooking and bathing.
What type of spray foam is best for homes in Daytona Beach?
In hot and humid climates like Daytona Beach, FL, closed-cell spray foam is generally recommended for exterior walls, crawl spaces, and attics. Its high density creates a moisture barrier critical in humid environments. Open-cell foam can be used in interior walls for soundproofing and actually allows some vapor movement, which can be beneficial in certain wall assemblies. A qualified local contractor can assess your specific home and recommend the best approach.
Can spray foam insulation help reduce my AC bills in Daytona Beach?
Yes — significantly. Air conditioning accounts for the majority of energy costs in hot climates like Daytona Beach, FL. Spray foam seals all gaps and cracks that allow conditioned air to escape, which is the primary cause of high AC bills. Most homeowners in hot climates report 20–30% reductions in cooling costs after spray foam installation.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost?
Spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your location. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic costs $2,000–$6,000. Most homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor?
Look for contractors who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
