I hired Jesse’s company for attic insulation and rodent-proofing, and I couldn’t be happier. The crew were amazing — they worked nonstop for hours, were so thorough and detailed, and clearly took pride in what they were doing. Jesse was great to communicate with and showed real care for the quality of the job. The price was very fair, and the results speak for themselves. They had photos for each step of the process so you can see the results. Highly recommend Jesse, Skyler, and Johnny for anyone looking for a hardworking, trustworthy, and professional team.

We hired company My Insulation Guy to clean, disinfect our attic and replace an old insulation. First of all we really appreciate their effort to save our money (they offered partial replacement, because some insulated area looked good.) Johnny, Corry and Andrew worked non stop until dark and finished our project in one day. Now our attic is rodent proofed, well insulated, and smells nice. Good job guys! Five stars, well deserved!

I put a request on yelp For a quote. Jesse from My Insulation guy was the only one who would actually give me a quote without having to show up at my house. It’s nice to see a company that actually is upfront and honest and dealing with people. The other companies that were contacting me, refused to give me a rough estimate, even though I provided the square footage. I didn’t really want someone coming to my house for an appointment without having a basic idea as to what it was going to cost so I wasn’t wasting anyone’s time. I hired My Insulation Guy and we set an appointment for the following week. Corey and Andrew showed up today on time to do my installation of my Insulation. They were extremely professional and very thorough to make sure that everything was covered and protected before blowing in the Insulation They were also very thorough in the cleanup and it was as if they were never here. I’m looking forward to the energy savings with the additional insulation in my attic. Don’t waste your time calling any other companies. These guys were professional, courteous, and very reasonably priced. Most of all, no games just fair honest pricing

Great customer service from all staff— love my attic insulation. The crew were at my home early and did an amazing job from beginning to end. I will be sharing with my family and friends about this company.

Our attic was poorly insulated, and we felt it every winter. After the team installed new insulation, the difference was immediate. Our home stays so much warmer now, and we’ve already noticed a drop in our energy bills. Perfect timing for winter!

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Fullerton

These are the questions Fullerton homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 27% typical energy savings. Compare the 3 verified Fullerton contractors above for exact quotes.

Does spray foam insulation work well in hot dry climates like Fullerton?
Yes — spray foam is highly effective in hot dry climates like Fullerton, CA. While moisture control is less of a concern than in humid climates, the air sealing properties are critical for keeping hot desert air out and cooled air in. In extreme heat climates, an unsealed attic can reach 150°F+, dramatically increasing AC load. Spray foam in the attic can reduce attic temperatures by 30–40°F.
What is the best area of my home to insulate in Fullerton?
In hot dry climates like Fullerton, CA, the attic is typically the highest-impact area to spray foam insulate. Desert sun heats roofs to extreme temperatures, and an uninsulated attic transfers that heat directly into your living space. After the attic, crawl spaces and rim joists are the next highest-impact areas. A local contractor can perform an energy audit to identify where your home loses the most conditioned air.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Fullerton, CA?
In Fullerton, CA and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Fullerton costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Fullerton homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Fullerton, CA?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Fullerton, CA, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Fullerton contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Fullerton for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
