It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. If you're looking for a true professional who cares about what they are doing and is truly respectful of your home, definitely pick THI Insulation. I cannot say enough good things about Marlon, his brother, and the rest of his family and crew. They are truly a blessing. Insulation in the attic was removed, air gap sealed and reinstalled. Baffles were also correctly installed, as they were not previously. They also did the basement and crawlspace and inspected the exterior for potential areas where air, bugs, or animals may enter the home.

Marlon responded quickly to my request for a free estimate to insulate an open, exposed space beneath my kitchen floor. Upon inspection, Marlon provided me with real-time photos, some options about how to deal with the issue, and very reasonable quotes for each option. I decided to insulate the flooring from below, and to have a vapor barrier installed, as well as having the area enclosed with one solid panel, and one door to provide access. Marlon’s team arrived on time a few days later. They worked efficiently and skillfully providing me with updates and real-time photos of the work. The workers were respectful of my property, and cleaned up their work area leaving it with no trace that they had ever been there. Marlon is the co- owner of this company who takes pride in his company’s work, and is committed to providing his customers with quality service. He came by to inspect the work after completion to ensure my satisfaction. I would highly recommend him and his company.

we have worked with marlon and his team on two home projects in the last 18 months, first time was attic insulation and the second time was partial scope for kitchen remodeling; his team arrived on the job site on time every single day, setup the job site professionally, got the job done effectively and thoroughly cleaned the debris before left. Fair price, transparent and high quality. Extremely happy and I would work with his team again next time.

Robert was very professional, neat and responsive. He was the first person to get back to me when I was looking for quotes, the first to arrive and always arrived on time when he was scheduled to come. He did two rooms for us and the attic in less than two days start to finish. The cellulose filling is what they went with which didn't require any demo which was HUGE! Aside from that, the price was right and he was honest about the feedback he shared. Even helped us figure out how to turn on our attic fan and adjust our AC vents. He also wore a mask before coming into the house and while he was in the house as well which I really appreciate during this pandemic. I highly recommend this company.

Rob came recommended to us. He was very responsive, fair and finished the job quickly to make sure that the nursery was ready for our little one arriving in a few weeks. Worked mainly on our garage ceiling and attic-no nursery holes needed. Left everything clean and In good shape, just have to paint where holes were patched if necessary. Thank you Rob. Would definitely recommend! Can’t wait to see how the nursery holds up in the winter now that we’ve added the insulation.

We had blown-in insulation done 10 years ago, but it wasn't done right. I called Flesher and he did the job right. Went from the outside behind the kitchen and from the inside in the dining room. Beautiful spackle job. All I had to do was paint. Left my house very clean. I haven't had to turn the heat up past 71 since. Even on bitter cold nights. Worth every penny and would definitely recommend!

Amazing experience from start to finish! The drywall finishing and interior painting were completed with outstanding attention to detail. The painters were clean, careful, and made sure every corner looked perfect. My living room has never looked better!

Highly recommended!!! Geraldo and his team were professional and quick! The team was absolutely amazing! We had a garage that we wanted to insulate, but it already had drywall up. Most companies I talked to were happy to add insulation, but they’d all need to punch holes in the wall and would not repair them. Not Geraldo’s team! Over a few days, they removed drywall, added insulation to the walls and ceiling, and repaired the walls. He had a team that specialized in demo and insulation install and another team that specialized in drywall and mudding. They were great! They even repaired holes from previous projects added an access door to the ceiling !! I’m in talks with Geraldo for the next project (his FIL paints murals!) - super team! Highly recommended!!!

Very satisfied with the ceiling repair and drywall finishing. They diagnosed the issue quickly and delivered a smooth, even finish that blends perfectly with the rest of the room. Friendly service and great communication throughout the whole project.

Ralph and the crew members did a great job when we needed new insulation put down in our attic. Ralph was always available and patient whenever I called/texted and explained the process step-by-step (and I called multiple times). The crew themselves were timely, professional, took extra precautions to ensure a 'clean' job, and showed me the steps as they were working. We were very pleased with Atticrawl and how they conducted business from beginning to end of the job.

I experienced rodent and bat infestation in my attic which necessitated extensive remediation. I was fortunate to find Atticrawl LLC who were experienced in this type of work and did a fabulous job in the cleaning and disinfecting with the removal and replacement of contaminated walls, joists, plywood, insulation and wood. Atticrawl also rodent and bat proofed my attic and house by sealing all identified points of entry inside and outside. The remediation took about nine hours with many workers involved in doing the various parts of the work process. It was amazing to watch how everyone had their own job and they were all working at the same time doing their part of the total job. I cannot say how impressed I was with the whole process.

Great experience from start to finish. Tre showed up on time and reviewed the job with me. He made recommendations and shared pictures. He was respectful of the property (wore boot covers) and was articulate. We agreed upon a price and scheduled an install time. The installers called prior to arrival as agreed and showed up on time. Very nice and the crew of 4 sealed off the area and covered the floors . After they removed old insulation and vacuumed and sealed, they asked me to review it prior to installing new. Weird how satisfying it is to see your attic so clean. They then finished and did a great cleanup job. I was asked to inspect/review again and was not rushed. The crew of four hustled the entire time and knew what to do. So glad i hired them. They actually did what they said they would do and my install looked just like the pics they had shared.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Woodbridge

How much can spray foam insulation save on heating and cooling bills in Woodbridge?
Homeowners in mixed climates like Woodbridge, NJ typically see 20–30% reductions in total energy costs after spray foam installation. The savings come from both reduced heating in winter and reduced cooling in summer. The exact savings depend on your home's current insulation, size, and local energy rates, but most homeowners recoup the investment within 3–6 years.
Is spray foam better than fiberglass insulation for homes in Woodbridge?
For most homes in Woodbridge, NJ, spray foam outperforms fiberglass significantly. Fiberglass batts insulate but do not air seal — meaning conditioned air still escapes through gaps. Spray foam both insulates and creates an airtight seal, addressing the root cause of energy loss. While spray foam costs more upfront, the performance difference in mixed climates makes it the better long-term investment for most homeowners.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost?
Spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your location. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic costs $2,000–$6,000. Most homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor?
Look for contractors who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
