ATFI was so professional! At first, I was weary about a new company, but they reassured me their techs had years of experience. Their technician worked diligently to finish our metal building we just put up. His work was so clean and even, I didn’t think foam could look so good! From their quote and first meeting at the site, to the clean up afterwards, ATFI is highly recommended!

From the estimate to the final day of insulation install this team was great. The attic of my 115 year old house was in desperate need of help. From years of raccoon infestation to the lack of insulation, these guys took the challenge in stride. They were able to schedule me quickly and got the job done professionally and on time. They communicated each step of the way. They even texted when they were going to be 15 minutes late arriving because of traffic. I would recommend them to anyone who needs attic work done.

Bryan, Kristen, Rob, Thomas, Patrick, you are all amazing people that truly care about your customers. My attic was in need of more insulation after some renovations and “Good Attic” definitely did not disappoint. Bryan provided and estimate on the spot and talked through what my options are as well as cost. Recommendations were given but never in a pushy or pressured way. On the day of the service, Rob and Thomas were efficient, professional, and clean! They have other branches outside of the St. Louis area, grateful to help support their expansion in St. Louis! Look no further, “Good Attic” will take care of you!

I dont even know where to start here! Chris took a bunch of time on a sunday while he was with his family to talk to us about our issues, what we needed and took the time to really explain everything and educate us about insulation, and he did all of this within ONE HOUR of me reaching out to get a quote. Chris told us what we needed, gave us such a good price and then guaranteed his work and our happiness and he wasnt lying! I just got home from work and checked my attic and they did such a great job on blowing in additional insulation for us since the home builders couldnt get it right not once or twice, they came out and got us right within 2 hours. Im so glad we used st louis insulation and we will continue to do any business that we need with them and will reccomend them to anyone needing insulation, i cant explain how wonderful this entire experience with them was and his prices are extremely competitive. Thank you so much chris and your entire team!!

I had a great experience with St Louis Insulation. The quote process was quick and the price was very reasonable. Everything is done through their portal, so chatting, quotes and payment are easy. The day of the install was just as good. Brandon and his crew were fast and gave me pictures showing the quality of the work. They cleaned up and were very polite. I was impressed. They also showed up a little early!

Eric Farson★★★★★2 years ago

Great experience. They were super friendly and not only gave me a quick bid for adding insulation in my attic but also gave me a few other tips for making my basement more energy efficient. I appreciated the overall process including approving the bid and the installation date via a link sent via text. This was much easier than calling back and forth. The installers were also friendly and efficient. The price was very reasonable and well worth it.

I cannot say how great these people are. It was a last minute Schedule to get done They were able to work around the last Minute request. I had to get my sighting replace. I've been waiting for a year and they finally said we're here to do it, so that was the perfect time when everything was off to get it insulated. Thank you so much for the hard work.I noticed it as soon as I get Home. The back bedroom was 5 to 10 degrees cooler

Foam Co. was very easy to work with. We had new insulation blown and sprayed in. They were able to get it done in a day and went above and beyond providing pictures of the install and working independently. They communicated promptly and clearly throughout the process.

Very professional company from the beginning of the project to it's completion. Every person was nice and respectful. When they say the workers will start at 7am that is what they ment. They blew in our new insulation. They came right in, introduced themselves and got to work. The project did not take long at all and they cleaned up behind themselves. The price for the job was nice too. If we need any more work done we will be calling them again . James and Brenda Lee

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in St. Peters

These are the questions St. Peters homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 35% typical energy savings. Compare the 4 verified St. Peters contractors above for exact quotes.

How much can spray foam insulation save on heating and cooling bills in St. Peters?
Homeowners in mixed climates like St. Peters, MO typically see 20–30% reductions in total energy costs after spray foam installation. The savings come from both reduced heating in winter and reduced cooling in summer. The exact savings depend on your home's current insulation, size, and local energy rates, but most homeowners recoup the investment within 3–6 years.
Is spray foam better than fiberglass insulation for homes in St. Peters?
For most homes in St. Peters, MO, spray foam outperforms fiberglass significantly. Fiberglass batts insulate but do not air seal — meaning conditioned air still escapes through gaps. Spray foam both insulates and creates an airtight seal, addressing the root cause of energy loss. While spray foam costs more upfront, the performance difference in mixed climates makes it the better long-term investment for most homeowners.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in St. Peters, MO?
In St. Peters, MO and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in St. Peters costs $2,000–$6,000. Most St. Peters homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in St. Peters, MO?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in St. Peters, MO, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified St. Peters contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in St. Peters for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
