They first helped me find a reputable company to install proper roof venting, which was essential for maximizing the effectiveness of the insulation. Their communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. They were always prompt, helpful, and knowledgeable—especially when it came to navigating incentives through the Energy Trust of Oregon. They even helped me secure additional funding to cover some of the project costs I couldn’t manage on my own. Francisco and Jose, who handled the insulation installation, were incredibly kind, efficient, and meticulous in their work. I truly appreciate the care and dedication shown by the entire team. Ahren came to our house this morning and I expected he would recommend adding more insulation to our attic as was suggested by the home energy audit we had done. Instead I was very pleasantly surprised that he said we actually didn't need much more insulation in our mid-1960s era house, or at least not in the areas of the attic that were accessible, and that it wasn't worth the cost for the relatively small amount of energy savings we would get from it. He explained very clearly why he didn't think the insulation in our attic was worth adding to, and that the other minor issues he saw with bathroom vents could be addressed with a good handyperson at a lower hourly rate. I find that honesty and candor very unusual among contractors and greatly appreciated his willingness to forgo a chance to get a new insulation job because he didn't think it would be worth the cost to us! I can highly recommend Day Energy Solutions for whatever work you need based on this experience because they will definitely not oversell you, which is very important to me. Other reviews I read addressed the high quality of their work and the relatively painless installation process.
