Ross and his crew were very professional and super easy to work with. Ross answered all my questions and explained all the options we had for insulating our 40x40 metal shop. Pricing was great and was given a quote on the spot after Ross came out to check out the shop in person. His crew protected the few items I left in the shop along with the floors, windows, doors, and light fixtures. After they were done they picked up everything and left nothing behind. I have zero complaints and will speak highly of their work.

From the beginning of this insulation process with Logan, to Mikey clean up and insulation, to Rabekah in the office and finally the owner Ross, all made sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. Even though this job had a small miscommunication, we were all able to work out a solution. We are very happy with all the work and how Mikey was able to work with my son since he is currently living in the house. My son was very happy with the workers and how considerate they were about the neighbors. I would highly recommend Brazos Valley insulators Or any home that either needs foam or regular blown in insulation.

Had a great experience with Brazos Valley Insulators. 6 men showed up early and worked hard all day, they were clean, courteous and helpful. Excited to have the spray foam added to the garage, it’ll make the summers cooler for a long time!!

I worked with Zach on my spray foam insulation project. Great to work with. Quickly returned every phone call, gave me a price, stuck with it. JT and Edgar showed up on time and worked their behinds off in my sweltering attic. It was hot. They worked hard and cleaned up everything as if they were never even there. Now I'm left with icebergs in my very comfortable living room. Thanks, I'll be sure to share your contact information.

A Affordable Services exceeded expectations from start to finish on my large insulation project. I procured estimates from 5 companies and A Afordable Services was lowered than 3 of the others. Zach answered every call, text and question timely. He made sure the site was prepped and the foam coverage was according to the proposal. The site was cleaned up throughly. Even after the project was complete Zach continued to help. I highly recommend A Afordable Services insulation for your project.

Zach worked with me to have the installation time work around my schedule. We were told they would be there at 9am and they were there right on time! Punctuality is a big thing of mine. Romeo was great. Got the job done and exceeded my expectations. Will definitely refer to anyone looking for great service at a great cost.

We had our attic retro fitted with spray foam through Inscoat and I couldn’t be happier with their services! They were prompt, easy to deal with and very professional. They went above and beyond with their on-ratio technology and gave me peace of mind our product was solid! Don’t use sketchy spray foamers whose prices and schedules are “too good to be true.” Go with the true professionals at Inscoat!

UPDATE: Had InsCoat back out to spray our new room extension and they did another stellar job! They responded quickly, worked efficiently, and left the worksite clean. They've exceeded my expectations on a big and small job and both times they treated my home like their own! Definitely recommend! ✅️ Quality work in our shop, very happy with the service. Answered all my questions and cleaned up all of the job debris after the job.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Baytown

These are the questions Baytown homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 30% typical energy savings. Compare the 7 verified Baytown contractors above for exact quotes.

Is spray foam insulation a good choice in hot and humid climates like Baytown?▼
Absolutely. Hot and humid climates like Baytown, TX are actually where spray foam insulation delivers some of its best results. Closed-cell spray foam acts as both an insulation layer and a moisture/vapor barrier, preventing the humidity infiltration that causes mold, rot, and air conditioning inefficiency. Homeowners in TX typically see 20–35% reductions in cooling costs after installation. One important note: because spray foam creates a tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is essential in humid climates to manage interior moisture from daily activities like cooking and bathing.
What type of spray foam is best for homes in Baytown?▼
In hot and humid climates like Baytown, TX, closed-cell spray foam is generally recommended for exterior walls, crawl spaces, and attics. Its high density creates a moisture barrier critical in humid environments. Open-cell foam can be used in interior walls for soundproofing and actually allows some vapor movement, which can be beneficial in certain wall assemblies. A qualified local contractor can assess your specific home and recommend the best approach.
Can spray foam insulation help reduce my AC bills in Baytown?▼
Yes — significantly. Air conditioning accounts for the majority of energy costs in hot climates like Baytown, TX. Spray foam seals all gaps and cracks that allow conditioned air to escape, which is the primary cause of high AC bills. Most homeowners in hot climates report 20–30% reductions in cooling costs after spray foam installation.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?▼
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Baytown, TX?▼
In Baytown, TX and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Baytown costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Baytown homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?▼
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?▼
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Baytown, TX?▼
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Baytown, TX, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Baytown contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Baytown for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?▼
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?▼
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
