We absolutely love our new bathroom! From start to finish, Burke and his team exceeded our expectations! They were courteous, friendly and professional. Our sincere thanks to the entire Burke team especially Bucky, Noah, Logan & the project manager, Mark. And of course a big thank you to Nick the painter. All of your hard work did not go unnoticed and is truly appreciated. We will definitely be recommending them!

I’d like to share the experience I had with Burke Construction. Professionalism is just the tip of the iceberg of what we experienced with this company. They went above and beyond in every aspect of our project. Starting with timely consultation with Brandon, a well written bid, competitive pricing And timely completion of the project. They arranged for for furino fuel to come out and disconnect and remove our radiator from the living room. Furino fuel was meticulous and efficient and left everything cleaner then is was when they arrived. Mark over saw the project and kept everything running smoothly and effectively executed Brandon‘s deck designs and remodeling of our existing house. I would like to praise Russ and Miro Who performed the day-to-day removal of existing windows, installed French doors and for building a beautiful deck that we will enjoy forever. Their attention to detail was amazing. They had painters come and stain the deck, paint the doors and repair the hardwood floor that was under the removed radiator for 100 years. They carefully matched the floor stain and it looks spectacular. I highly recommend Burke‘s construction for any project and will use them for our future projects.

We had a great experience doing a gut kitchen reno with Burke in the summer of 2025. I knew I was in great hands from my first conversation with Brandon, our project manager. I wanted to do Ikea cabinets with custom fronts and had a different company already tell me it was impossible in our space. Brandon was the complete OPPOSITE. He really took the time to listen to my vision, gave great advice, and then was realistic with me about what it would cost and how long it would take to do. His attitude was it's your home, we'll make it happen for you because it should be perfect but we'll also be honest with you about what it will take to do it. I don't know what more you can ask for then that! The great experience continued with our actual install team. If you are lucky enough to get Miro, Matt and Rus working on your home you will have won the lottery. The care they take is as if they are working on their own home. Nothing was rushed, everything was done to the highest standards. They always asked and checked in first whenever there was a question which saved a lot of headaches. Miro called out that the fridge I planned on was going to stick out in the space and that gave me time to return and order a better counter depth option. Brandon was on top of the work throughout the whole process which involved a last minute flooring changed. Everyone put their heads together and it's now one of my favorite parts of the room - the last minute solution turned out stunning! Everyone on the team knew that I had a vision and wanted to make sure it was achieved. 10/10 can't recommend enough and we will definitely work with them again!

They took more time to prep my property than it did to complete the spray foam. That clearly shows the level of pride in their work as well as concern for the work that follows them. My studs were spotless and ready for drywall immediately after they left. Highly recommended at a very reasonable rate compared to my other estimates.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Bethlehem

How much can spray foam insulation save on heating and cooling bills in Bethlehem?
Homeowners in mixed climates like Bethlehem, PA typically see 20–30% reductions in total energy costs after spray foam installation. The savings come from both reduced heating in winter and reduced cooling in summer. The exact savings depend on your home's current insulation, size, and local energy rates, but most homeowners recoup the investment within 3–6 years.
Is spray foam better than fiberglass insulation for homes in Bethlehem?
For most homes in Bethlehem, PA, spray foam outperforms fiberglass significantly. Fiberglass batts insulate but do not air seal — meaning conditioned air still escapes through gaps. Spray foam both insulates and creates an airtight seal, addressing the root cause of energy loss. While spray foam costs more upfront, the performance difference in mixed climates makes it the better long-term investment for most homeowners.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost?
Spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your location. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic costs $2,000–$6,000. Most homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor?
Look for contractors who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
