My interaction with the owner, while brief, was still wildly refreshing. He/she was extremely courteous, professional, and seemed genuinely grateful for my assistance. A shining example of someone who knows social niceties, respect, and kindness still matter. If this is how they treat their employees and customers, I believe they will be around for some time to come. I wish them the best and know they will do well.

They were on time, if not a little early. Nice courteous installers and salesmen who knew what they were talking about. I priced out doing the work myself and I feel their price was a VERY good value. They did a faster and better job than I would have. Sometimes it just makes sense to hire a pro, and this is one of those situations. I would highly recommend them. 5 Stars forsure! 👍

Initially many years ago I never did receive a call back from USA Insulation. Recently I called again and Forest was a great salesman, even helped with questions all the way through installation. Two crews came out led by Matt and Justin, both were friendly and provided quality work. All has been a positive experience. My family has already noticed the sound dampening with doing the walls and crawl spaces. Now we wait to see the heating/cooling results. There is definitely something going right in leadership when an installer has been with the company for 20 years.

The workers came on time. They did the prep work quickly and efficiently. Insulation was installed properly and they cleaned up everything afterwards. I was very happy with this service.

Justin and his crew from USA Insulation installed their patented injection foam insulation in my home. I was very pleased with their work and would absolutely use their services again in the future myself and recommend them to others. They expertly removed and re-installed my existing aluminum siding with no trace it was ever moved. The guys were very professional and friendly throughout the day, answering all questions I had. They cleaned up well after they were finished, leaving no trace. They even threw in insulating my attic floor free of charge.

Unloading here doesn't take much time but backing into the dock is a little bit of a task. Slide your tandem all the way up to avoid hitting the curbs

Gale contracted by Feazel to replace gutters and downspouts. Two man team worked efficiently and friendly, and explained changes from original 2002 product. What's better is they recognized original color i chose didn't look good at all. Fortunately, they did have white products and completed project before noon.

Docks not convenient for a long nose w/53ft trailer. Make sure you slide you tandems all the way forward to maneuver once inside the gate. The unload was fast.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Hilliard

These are the questions Hilliard homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 35% typical energy savings. Compare the 4 verified Hilliard contractors above for exact quotes.

How much can spray foam insulation save on heating and cooling bills in Hilliard?▼
Homeowners in mixed climates like Hilliard, OH typically see 20–30% reductions in total energy costs after spray foam installation. The savings come from both reduced heating in winter and reduced cooling in summer. The exact savings depend on your home's current insulation, size, and local energy rates, but most homeowners recoup the investment within 3–6 years.
Is spray foam better than fiberglass insulation for homes in Hilliard?▼
For most homes in Hilliard, OH, spray foam outperforms fiberglass significantly. Fiberglass batts insulate but do not air seal — meaning conditioned air still escapes through gaps. Spray foam both insulates and creates an airtight seal, addressing the root cause of energy loss. While spray foam costs more upfront, the performance difference in mixed climates makes it the better long-term investment for most homeowners.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?▼
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Hilliard, OH?▼
In Hilliard, OH and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Hilliard costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Hilliard homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?▼
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?▼
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Hilliard, OH?▼
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Hilliard, OH, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Hilliard contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Hilliard for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?▼
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?▼
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
