308 did an amazing job , we had them spray foam all the interior walls for the humidor, lockers and freezer. Very professional and courteous work done at copper leaf cigar lounge. I was very pleased with the work and the owner. Give them a call, l i would hire them again for my next project

Branden is great! Fast response, gave me an honest assessment, and even showed me how to fix the issue with my fireplace myself. He's personable, genuinely kind, and the only guy I'd call for any insulation work.

We had 308 Foam Solutions spray foam our building at our lake. We noticed an immediate difference in the amount of heat our building was holding. We eneded up turning off our space heater since we no longer needed it. His wife helped with the cleanup and very nice and professional people. Highly recommend 308 Foam Solutions.

We have relied on Tillotson Enterprises for our roofing needs for over 35 years and receive outstanding service.

Carla Lutz★★★★★a year ago

I did not receive any services from Tillotson other than from a representative who came to my home to give me an estimate on lifting various sections of concrete. He was courteous and professional, but the main reason he is getting 5-stars is that he was very honest. The biggest drawback to hiring Tillotson was going to be the cost of transportation from Kearney to Sidney. I did try to find other people in Sidney who were interested, but I couldn't find anyone to commit. I would definitely hire Tillotson for work if it wasn't for the distance and travel costs.

Tillotson was a great company to work with. The salesman I met with was Ricky, and he helped me line up a much needed spray foam insulation on an old shop. He was prompt to show up, explained everything very thoroughly and made it very understandable. Communication was great over the phone and also with text and e-mails. The team that showed up to do the work was prompt, completed the job timely (and to my needs), did a good job cleaning up and were easy to work with. The people I got to work with made the job and experience seem less!

We could not have asked for a better experience with Gil and his team! They arrived on time. They were professional in everything they did from how they treated us as homeowners, to conducting their work efficiently to cleaning up afterwards. I would not hesitate to recommend Seal Rite! They are the best!

He was top of the line. We paid right then.He was done in 2 hours and we have taller walls. Best insulation job my husband has ever seen. He said that guy was so so nice and friendly. I build custom log homes and been working with Gill and dozens of jobs for 8 years. He has always stood behind his work and had delivered the job on time. Anytime there was a issue he answered his phone the first call and would have it taken care of right away. Their prices been competitive and continue to do work with them.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Grand Island

These are the questions Grand Island homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 35% typical energy savings. Compare the 3 verified Grand Island contractors above for exact quotes.

How much can spray foam insulation save on heating and cooling bills in Grand Island?▼
Homeowners in mixed climates like Grand Island, NE typically see 20–30% reductions in total energy costs after spray foam installation. The savings come from both reduced heating in winter and reduced cooling in summer. The exact savings depend on your home's current insulation, size, and local energy rates, but most homeowners recoup the investment within 3–6 years.
Is spray foam better than fiberglass insulation for homes in Grand Island?▼
For most homes in Grand Island, NE, spray foam outperforms fiberglass significantly. Fiberglass batts insulate but do not air seal — meaning conditioned air still escapes through gaps. Spray foam both insulates and creates an airtight seal, addressing the root cause of energy loss. While spray foam costs more upfront, the performance difference in mixed climates makes it the better long-term investment for most homeowners.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?▼
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Grand Island, NE?▼
In Grand Island, NE and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Grand Island costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Grand Island homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?▼
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?▼
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Grand Island, NE?▼
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Grand Island, NE, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Grand Island contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Grand Island for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?▼
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?▼
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
