I try to support small businesses as much as possible because they're so often better than chains and you know your money is going to working people and not ads and executives. This turned out to absolutely be the case for Coons! My husband and I bought a house recently and the inspection showed a severe lack of insulation in the attic. I'm not built for NC summers without a sturdy AC so it was top of the list to get fixed. I found Coons via Google search and am so glad I did. Dustin came out within a few days to survey what was needed. He was thorough and professional but also very personable and friendly. He met all four of my curious cats and didn't mind that one insisted on licking his leg. Lol. He gave me the quote and explained what the cost was for and it seemed very reasonable. I always appreciate that because my expertise is not home improvement so he could have said three times as much and I wouldn't have known the difference. He gave us a military discount which was greatly appreciated. He commiserated with the incoming heat and squeezed me in the next day for insulating! Matt and Aaron came just a little later than expected because their previous job took longer than expected, but called to let me know. I completely understand how this type of work can be hard to gage time wise so I only included this because I appreciated the call to keep me in the loop. Once they got there they hopped right to work. One of them was new and the seasoned veteran was explaining everything they were doing and why. One did the blowing of insulation in the attic while the other fed it through a hose from the truck. I could already tell the house was less drafty by the time they left. They also vacuumed behind them for any little pieces that fell out. Paid on the spot with a card and they emailed an itemized bill along with pictures of their work. Anyway, 10/10 recommend. Hopefully I won't need them for anything else but they'll be at the top of my list should I need anything!
