If you want someone who shoots straight and won’t upsell you just to pad the bill, Jim at Doctor Energy Smart is your guy. He took the time to explain all my options clearly and recommended exactly what made the most sense for my house and budget: 1.5" of closed-cell spray foam on the attic roof deck paired with my existing fiberglass batts on the floor. He didn’t push for 3" or 5" just to chase a slightly higher R-value — he gave me the real numbers so I could make a smart financial decision. The difference was immediate. Right after they finished, the attic temperature stopped dropping like it used to. I’ve attached photos of the before/after and a week of temperature data from my attic sensor — you can see the dramatic change the day the job was completed.
