We recently had REenergizeCO perform a Home Energy Audit, and we were extremely pleased with the results! Marissa did a fantastic job with the audit--she was very knowledgable, worked quickly and efficiently, and was very friendly. (As an added bonus, our dog fell in love with Marissa and she might be his new best friend.) The report that we received was helpful in identifying improvements that we want to make to our house to make it more energy efficient, and we appreciated receiving an associated quote to perform the suggested work so we had an idea of how much the upgrades would cost. Overall, we would definitely recommend working with REenergizeCO, especially because of Marissa's great customer service!

Following an energy audit I came across this Xcel Energy registered company. Dexter and his team did a great job upgrading the insulation in our attic to current standards. They were the only company that offered to squeeze into two lower attic areas to also address the insulation there. The team was technically strong, very friendly and considerate, overall everything worked out very well. Two areas that required follow-up: - attic hatch - rather than just increasing the insulation, as proposed, we decided to completely redo the hatch - dam - single wall cardboard was used around the furnace, that does not hold up to physical impact during routine maintenance work in that area. Particle board as used around the hatch should have been specified Costwise Reenergize CO was the highest of 4 quotes, but they also were the ones that were most flexible.

I waited 2 years after getting my solar to write this because I wanted to make sure the company resolves problems that arise post-installation. They do. They have always been super responsive. Also, they just seem like nice people who are not out to steal your money. I noticed this the first time I met one of them. He came to the house to test whether for air leaks and other energy losses. In the end, he told us our house is in great shape and didn't need any work. How often does a contractor tell you that? They installed the solar over the course of two weeks. We had a panel go off line a few months later. They came out and fixed it within two weeks or so. We had a wifi disconnect, they came out to fix that too. No fuss. Great company.

I have been remiss in leaving this review but the hotter it gets, the more grateful I am for Robert and his team. I started with 1,000 SF of attic space and an R rating of about 10. Robert recommended R60 for Denver. His team came in over 2 days and removed my old insulation, sealed the attic, blew in new insulation. Everything was efficient, clean, and as unobtrusive as possible. Additionally, Robert completed a handful of other little things that needed done in the attic and installed more vents. All that is enough reason to hire them but my house is staying so much cooler. My evaporative cooler is keeping up better. We have yet to put in the window AC unit and every room in the house is more comfortable. Then, Robert filed for the rebate with Xcel. I didn’t have to do anything. Please hire this team. They are worth it.

Had our attic sealed and insulation re-blown. First, if you’re considering it, do it. Makes all the difference - your rooms are not just warmer, but temperature is much more even. Not something you can get by just blasting the furnace. Robert and his team were great. He himself was on site everyday and doing the work, and ensuring his team was being thorough. He’s also just extremely knowledgeable and thinks of things none of the other 3 companies I got quotes from did. And he was the only one to actually go in the attic to build a quote, which is a big deal for me. We found a couple issues he built a plan around fixing the others did not.

Simple Home Energy Solutions/Robert (owner) and his team were very professional, timely, communicated well and prompt with any questions or concerns. We recently had an insulation replacement in our attic and air sealing which went smoothly and performed to high quality standards. I would highly recommend Simple Home.

After filling out the online form for ceiling crack repair and water damage repair, I received a timely response. I began a brief phone tag with Jordan, the project manager, but he made certain to get us connected the same day. He came and reviewed the project the next day and had an estimate that afternoon. We had the work scheduled and started within a week. The Drywaller was punctual, systematic, consistent, professional, clean, and attentive to our needs. He even suggested patching over an electric box for speakers that was unused. He did a very good quality job. I would absolutely call Jordan again should I have any additional drywall work in my home. I look forward to calling in a painter and enjoying the absence of the drywall issues.

I can not recommend Innovative Solutions Insulation and Drywall enough! My kids tore apart our unfinished basement walls leaving the insulation heavily exposed. The team came in and made it look brand new! They were quick to get me scheduled, attentive, professional, respectful, efficient, and made it a safe and enjoyable space for my family again. No question asked, they will be my only phone call for any drywall or insulation needs in the future. 5 stars isn’t enough!

Wow! Jordan was our Project Manager and as a PM myself I was impressed. We were looking for a company that would be able to do a turn key project (1 stop shop if you will). Remove all insulation in our attic, remove all drywall and insulation (ceilings and wall), and then put it all back. Once cleaned they re-insulated the entire space, installed all new Drywall, taped and textured. I made a project plan that included other trades! Jordan work rite along side of me throughout the entire project. This project was 2 hours from Denver in beautiful Grand Lake Colorado at Sunny Side Cottages which is not always easy to coordinate with that kind of travel for crews. His crews were on time, did quality work in a very timely manor. Even though they were ahead of schedule Jordan stuck to the schedule. The quality of work was more than we expected. It is rare (unfortunately) that we find a contractor that is that responsive and actually cared about the quality of work they deliver. I would recommend Jordan and Innovative Solutions Insulation and Drywall all day long.

I had Level Up remove mold and install insulation in both my attic and my basement, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The team arrived on time, explained the work clearly, and showed real attention to detail throughout the installation. They kept the space clean, worked efficiently, and made sure I understood everything they were doing along the way. The difference in temperature and comfort was noticeable right away. It feels great to work with a company that truly cares about quality and customer experience. I would gladly recommend Level Up to anyone looking for reliable and professional insulation work. Sagi was super friendly and easy to work with as well!

Level Up Insulation was contracted by my pest control service, Saela, to mitigate a mice & rat infestation in my home's crawl space. Two technicians, Afren and Alberto, removed all the contaminated wall insulation and the ground moisture/radon barrier in the crawl space. They sanitized the crawl space, then installed new wall insulation and radon barrier over the ground. They bagged all the contaminated materials and disposed of it all without leaving a trace behind (they protected the basement living area and 1st floor hallways with plastic sheeting). Afren and Alberto were friendly and professional, and super hard-working. That job would've taken me a week, and they banged it out in half a day. The finished job looks amazing... clean, bright and fully sealed. I highly recommend Level Up Insulation, as well as Saela Pest Control.

I hired Level Up Insulation to top up the insulation in my house. Scheduling the estimate was easy, all my questions were answered, and the price was excellent. After approving the estimate, the installation happened within 2 days. The technicians from Level Up were very professional. Installation took about 3 hours and at the end, they walked me through the results. I'm very happy with the work that Level Up installation did and would definitely recommend them.

George is a true character in all the best ways! He not only helped me with my insulation but also served as a great sounding board for a few other construction-related projects I was working on. He was very helpful, and his team did an excellent job.

It was a pleasure to do business with Mucilli Brothers. George is an awesome dude. When he came to the house for the estimate he was honest, fair and personable. We agreed on price. He had a crew in the area the next day. They were friendly, respectful, thorough, and fast. Less than 24 hours after I met George our attic went from R-nothing to R-60 and our house is so comfortable and quiet! It was a great experience all around! If I could give 6 stars, I would. Thanks George!

Project Manager Tyler is great to work with. Crew was polite, professional, efficient and fast. There isxa noticeable difference in our upstairs now with the new insulation. We will use their services again in our rental unit.

We had Rocky Mountain Retro Foam do our living room on the main level of the house. Before we did our HVAC system could never keep up. When set at 71 the main level would get warmer throughout the day instead of colder. It would run so long our Ecobee would send us a message saying our system wasn’t working properly. Now with just one room on our main level done, our HVAC system can not only get the house down to the desired temperature, it actually shuts off once and awhile. I have attached pictures from our Ecobee home IQ. The picture are almost exactly a year apart, and I don’t think the foam had even fully cured yet. It’s pretty amazing to feel the difference and then have actual stats to back up what we were feeling. I can’t wait to get to he rest of the main level done and then start on the upstairs.

Phil Darrow★★★★★a year ago

Crew was efficient and thorough and gave me good advice for an additional DIY step I could take to protect even further a problem overhang area. Immediate results made an old addition the same temperature as the rest of the house for the first time. Site was clean at the end despite a lot of drilling and surplus foam during the process.

I hired RG Insulation to install baffles and blow additional insulation in my attic. Everyone I dealt with from the salesman who quoted me the price to the two gentlemen who performed the work were very professional. They took care to protect my floors and prevent mess. They did an excellent job in a short period of time and then made sure I pleased with their work. Plus, their price was excellent as compared to competitors. Highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions — Spray Foam Insulation in Denver

These are the questions Denver homeowners ask most about spray foam cost, R-value, and open- vs. closed-cell foam — with context for local pricing and roughly 37% typical energy savings. Compare the 11 verified Denver contractors above for exact quotes.

Why is spray foam insulation especially important in cold climates like Denver?
In cold climates like Denver, CO, proper insulation is critical to preventing heat loss, ice dams, and frozen pipes. Spray foam's air-sealing properties stop the cold air infiltration that traditional insulation cannot address. It also prevents the moisture buildup inside walls that leads to mold in cold-weather freeze-thaw cycles. Homeowners in CO typically save 25–35% on heating costs. Note: in tightly sealed homes, proper mechanical ventilation is commonly recommended to maintain fresh air exchange without losing the heat you've paid for.
Does spray foam insulation prevent ice dams in Denver?
Yes — spray foam insulation is one of the most effective solutions for preventing ice dams in cold climates like Denver, CO. Ice dams form when heat escapes through a poorly insulated attic, melting snow that refreezes at the eaves. By creating an air-tight thermal barrier in the attic, spray foam eliminates the heat loss that causes ice dams in the first place.
What R-value do I need for spray foam insulation in Denver?
For cold climates like Denver, CO, the Department of Energy recommends attic insulation of R-49 to R-60. Closed-cell spray foam provides R-6 to R-7 per inch, meaning 8–10 inches achieves code-minimum performance. Open-cell foam at R-3.5 per inch requires greater thickness. A local contractor familiar with CO building codes can recommend the exact specification for your home.
Is spray foam insulation worth the cost?
For most homeowners, yes. Spray foam creates an air-tight seal that traditional insulation cannot match, reducing energy bills by 15–35% annually. It also adds structural rigidity, acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, reduces outside noise, and can increase home resale value. The higher upfront cost compared to fiberglass is typically recovered within 3–7 years. One important note: because spray foam creates a very tight building envelope, proper mechanical ventilation is important to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent interior moisture buildup. This is typically handled by an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) — a system that brings fresh outside air in while pushing stale air out, recovering the energy from the outgoing air so you don't waste what you paid to heat or cool — or a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV), which works similarly but is optimized for cold climates. A qualified contractor will assess whether your home needs ventilation upgrades as part of the installation.
How much does spray foam insulation cost in Denver, CO?
In Denver, CO and the surrounding area, spray foam insulation typically costs $1.00–$3.00 per square foot installed, depending on the type and your home's specifics. Open-cell foam runs $0.44–$0.65 per board foot, while closed-cell foam costs $1.00–$2.00 per board foot. A typical 2,000 sq ft home attic in Denver costs $2,000–$6,000. Most Denver homeowners recoup this investment within 3–7 years through energy savings of 15–35% annually.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell spray foam is softer, less dense, and less expensive. It expands significantly and is ideal for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Closed-cell spray foam is denser, stronger, and provides a moisture barrier — making it better for exterior applications, crawl spaces, and areas prone to flooding or humidity. Closed-cell also has a higher R-value per inch (R-6 to R-7 vs R-3.5 to R-4 for open-cell). One key difference: open-cell foam allows some vapor movement, while closed-cell acts as a vapor barrier — an important consideration for your home's ventilation needs.
How long does spray foam insulation last?
Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation options available, with a lifespan of 80+ years when properly installed. Unlike fiberglass batting which can sag and settle over time, spray foam maintains its shape and insulating properties indefinitely. It will typically outlast the building it is installed in.
How do I find a qualified spray foam insulation contractor in Denver, CO?
When searching for a spray foam contractor in Denver, CO, look for ones who are licensed, insured, and have verifiable reviews. Spray foam requires specialized equipment and training — improper installation can cause off-gassing, adhesion failure, or fire hazards. Ask for references, verify their insurance, and get at least 2–3 quotes. A qualified Denver contractor will also assess your home's ventilation needs — a tightly sealed spray foam installation requires adequate mechanical ventilation to prevent moisture and indoor air quality issues. FoamMatch pre-screens all listed contractors in Denver for licensing and insurance so you can compare verified professionals in your area.
How long does spray foam installation take?
Most residential spray foam jobs take 1–2 days depending on the size of the area. A standard attic takes 4–8 hours. After spraying, the foam cures within 24 hours, though most contractors recommend waiting 24–72 hours before occupying the space due to off-gassing during the curing process.
Does spray foam insulation need to be replaced?
No — spray foam insulation does not need to be replaced under normal circumstances. Unlike fiberglass insulation which degrades over time, spray foam maintains its R-value and air sealing properties for the life of the building. The only reasons to remove or replace spray foam are water damage, renovation work, or improper original installation.
